SpringHill Suites Lumberton

We had a wonderful stay! The rooms were clean and comfortable. The staff was exceptionally courteous and attentive. Zack Lewis was a standout employee during our stay. He made the stay feel like we were with family.

Normally a go to hotel for us on our way to/from Florida. There is a great pizza joint (Your Pie Pizza) just across the parking lot, which is an added bonus after a long days drive, and gas stations nearby. On this particular occasion, and as a Bonvoy Gold Elite member, I requested a non-connecting room on the backside of the property facing the community college. When we arrived at 9:15 PM we checked into our room and not only was it a connecting room but the door between my room and the room next door didn't have a lock, allowing the guest next door to have unfettered access to our room. I went to contact the front desk and discovered that neither the phone nor the clock in the room worked. I called from my cell phone and was told someone from maintenance would be up. After 40 minutes, now its after 10:00 PM I went downstairs and was told that the front desk person could not leave her post and maintenance was unavailable to let me know that there was no "fix", as they were waiting on a new lock. I was offered a $25 credit and "a lot of Bonvoy Points" according to the front desk person. I told that person that the room never should have been rented out and that she put me in an impossible spot as there were no other rooms to move to. BTW - The value of the Bonvoy points I received amounted to $2.50. I contacted the property prior to writing this review and never received a response. There are a lot o other options for hotels at Exit 22 off of 95. Don't miss out on the Your Pie Pizza though!
