Stayed here for 2 nights in June, last minute decision. Staff were all very friendly and helpful. We ate in the restaurant both nights and it was pretty good overall. Breakfast buffet was limited for continental style - eg I didn't see any croissants/pastries but there was cereal, toast, yoghurt. Breakfast itself is served to you at the table from a menu, which is good as it came out hot. Very tasty too. Rooms are old style, but perfectly adequate and comfortable. No key card which is unusual these days. The shower was amazing, great power. We enjoyed our stay and I would return again.

Referred to the restaurant by our guest house. We both had the roast beef special and could not have been more impressed. The portions were more than generous and the vegetables very tasty (sometimes restaurants serve these tastless). Asked for a little more gravy and was provided with a whole gravy boat. Standard prices.

Subject: Urgent Complaint Regarding Insects in Bed During Recent Stay I am writing to express my deep concern and disappointment regarding an unpleasant experience during my recent stay at your hotel,Rhu Hotel on 6th July 2025 This is completely unacceptable and raises serious concerns about the cleanliness and hygiene standards of the property. Despite expecting a comfortable and safe environment, this issue made it impossible to rest properly and significantly impacted my stay. I contacted the front desk to report the situation and told her about the bed, the responsewas " was there many" like 1 0r 101 is not really what i was expecting to hear, in my opinion 1 is too many!!. I believe issues like this should be addressed promptly and with appropriate urgency. I kindly request a full investigation into this matter, as well as appropriate compensation for the inconvenience and discomfort caused. I trust that your establishment values guest satisfaction and will take the necessary steps to ensure this does not happen again. I look forward to your prompt response. A wonderful warm welcome on arrival. We loved the large room and its outlook. Great night’s sleep. The service was spot on in the bar/restaurant. All staff were friendly and helpful. Great evening meal and breakfast - we’re pleased we chose this hotel for our stay in Waterford.

Outstanding stay! Our stay was excellent! The hotel is 10 min drive outside of Waterford, but was a great choice. The hotel is kept in great condition, the staff were outstanding - at reception, at breakfast and at the lounge/bar where we had dinner two nights. So attentive and friendly! Our meals were beautiful - just wish I had room for dessert! Highly recommend The Rhu Glenn.

Went in for a quick bite to eat in a journey with the family. The food was great everyone enjoyed everything, I had a smokehouse burger, it was great, the staff was great especially to my kids, they did everything for them and were great to all of us. Thanks so much.

We went as a family for food around 7.30pm evening.. the brussel sprouts were frozen and carrots were hard as a rock..no flavour from the food .it was overpriced, definitely don't go there for the evening food . The chips were frozen with about 20 chips. Not nice at all.
