I recently stayed at Cygnet Hotel in Lucknow, and my experience was disappointing. The room I was given was poorly maintained, with visible signs of wear and tear. The bathroom was not properly cleaned, and the fittings needed urgent repairs. It was clear that the room had not been used for a long time and lacked basic upkeep. I have noticed a pattern with Make My Trip bookings—hotels often provide old and neglected rooms to MMT customers, which is unfair. Guests who book directly seem to get better-maintained rooms, while online booking customers are treated as an afterthought. "Jaise kutte ko bachi roti milti hai, vaisi hi Make My Trip walo ko room milti hai." If you’re booking through MMT, be prepared to receive a room that feels like a leftover. I hope the hotel management and MMT take customer satisfaction seriously and improve their service.
