Liberty Place

Great hotel, 5 minutes to the main street and night market

Liberty Land Hotel was the first hotel I stayed in when I arrived in Laos. The owner of the hotel was a Laotian. There were many foreigners staying in the hotel. Most of the guests were Europeans and Americans, and I was the only Chinese. The owner was not very friendly to Chinese people, so if you can avoid it, don't choose it. The hotel has a very simple breakfast in the morning, which is a Western breakfast with bread slices and eggs, plus a cup of coffee.

Nice and clean room/hotel.

We chose this hotel because of the good reviews, but other than the location, there wasn't much else... The second floor room looked nice, but! We were assigned to a room in the middle of the first floor, and the moment we entered the room, it smelled like sewage. The bathroom floor was cracked. There was also a cockroach of an unbelievable size, and a small dirty towel was left there. The next morning, the room was cleaned, but the towel had not been changed, so we asked the staff to change it, but they looked suspicious... The front desk staff was Vietnamese, so communication in English was not very smooth. The bicycles that were available for free rental were not very comfortable, so we gave up on using them. It depends on the room, but the Wi-Fi in our room on the first floor was terrible. The terrace seats on the second floor were comfortable and had Wi-Fi. If you can stay in a room on the second floor, it's worth staying there. The quality of the rooms varies greatly... We were refused a room change...
