Just before the Old Bridge, set back from the road, next to a temple, this is the kind of accommodation I couldn't wish for better. Villa Maydou is exactly my taste!
The hotel's individual buildings are loosely spread across the site, some of which have been carefully restored and are listed as historical monuments. I love the teak floors in the upper rooms.
The hotel lives from its historic charm, the caring staff and Laotian vibe. The open breakfast pavilion (don't touch the Fishtail Palm!) offers a great, also regional variety of options. The pool is a nice place to relax after your excursions and the cosy bar next to it invites you to forget the time with a G&T.
Guests can use free rental bikes to reach everything in the old town.

We loved it. It was in a nice quiet location and walkable to the places of our interests. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Kids had a great time at the pool.

Le meilleur hôtel de Luang prabang, par son emplacement , son atmosphère calme et apaisante, l architecture de ses bâtiments , son jardin, sa piscine.Une vraie immersion dans la culture Lao, douce et sereine.Le personnel est aux petits soins. Le petit déjeuner est délicieux, tout les produits sont faits maison,jus de fruits, confitures, pains, crepes, soupe de nouilles,...les chambres sont spacieuses avec de nombreux rangements. L hôtel peut vous organiser les transferts, les excursions, ils ont aussi des vélos à disposition. J y retourne tous les ans avec mes enfants, avec le même enchantement. Je recommande vivement villa Maydou.

J'ai eu le privilège de séjourner dans cet hôtel et je tiens à souligner l'excellence de mon expérience. D'abord, il faut préciser que nous avons bénéficié d'un surclassement gratuit de notre chambre, une bonne surprise. L'atmosphère y est incroyablement apaisante, propice à la détente, avec une décoration soignée et une ambiance sereine qui m'a immédiatement mise à l'aise. Le personnel, discret et professionnel, veille à chaque détail sans jamais être intrusif, ce qui permet de profiter d'un véritable havre de paix. Un des membres du staff nous a conseillés sur la réservation d'une croisière sur le Mékong lors du coucher de soleil. Ils pourraient faire plus attention aux petits endroits où les moustiques abondent, comme dans les bacs porte-parapluies. Un séjour que je recommande vivement à toute personne en quête de confort et de tranquillité.

Tres ɓel havre de paix. Accessible a pieds du centre ville. Calme et verdoyant. Nous y sejournons depuis 6 jours. Petit dejeuner varié dans un restaurant ouvert dans le jardin. Personnel attentionné. Anglais parlé. Chaises longues pour se detendre pres de la piscine au calme.

Un site typique du Laos, un jardin superbe entouré de bâtiments Laotiens. Des chambres vastes et meublées avec goût. Le restaurant n'utilise que des produits locaux et tout est fait maison. L'accueil de Noy est très sympathique et en Francais. A refaire++++
