Our family stayed here for four nights this week and had the best time. Comfortable room, close to everything, peaceful, good laundry set-up, easy share bathroom facilities, wonderful and delicious breakfast around a big table where we got to meet other guests and hear tips on where to go. Venus, Andy and Mali were fantastic hosts helping us to organise trips, teaching us more about Laos, making us feel so at home. Right next to the morning market and a very short walk to both the river front and the night market, Manichan is ideally situated. Peter, the owner, is great - very friendly and a very good cook! His meals are amazing and very good value. It’s nice sitting of an evening round the big table outside with Peter and other guests chatting. The rooms are fairly basic, although the bed was comfortable. Pillow was rock hard!!! Also there is no hot water in the basin and the shower is only warm in the afternoon if you keep the pressure to a trickle. If these plumbing issues were revised then it really would be so excellent. However, it is very reasonable, and Peter is a good host. I would stay again.

Very well located guest house , clean rooms and bathrooms, best value of money , 5 star breakfast and food , the owners are very friendly and helpful , i fully recommend this guest house to other guests.
