A really good hotel with basic but spacious and comfortable rooms, most with good views across the broads. Offering decent food and drink choices on site, the evening meal was fulfilling if not exciting and the cooked breakfast was really, really good. Car parking (free) is readily available and the service received from all of the Wherry team was first class.

waited at reception, saw note saying go to bar, went to bar, had to wait in a queue while people ordered food/drink, then told I needed to go to reception. room smelt of dog. No wifi

Maybe because it was bank holiday meant the price was dearer. Definitely not worth £150 a night. But the bed was great. The bathroom a god size. As a guest however I feel I should not have been denied a dink at 10-45 . As the bar was open . But as a paying guest no service. I would not the recommend this hotel at the price I paid. £75 a fairer ask. The breakfast was good. The bacon top notch however.

The hotel has a good position next to the broads. The restaurant and bar are nice. The breakfast is complete. The staff are okay but a little inexperienced and not friendly enough. The rooms are dated and tired - clean but dirty through age. The rooms are very large and the shower rooms good, however there were noisy and hot extractor fans outside both rooms windows, meaning no view and A LOT of noise. the rooms were oppressively hot even with fans which only worked when you were in the room. The restaurant and bar are good places to go but the hotel is only okay.

We wanted to book for an event being held at The Wherry Hotel on 13 September 2025 which is being advertised as having "limited seating provided and is advertised as standing only". On contacting the venue direct I was informed that the limited seats cannot be booked in advance and were limited to first come first seated. We have been to plenty of live music events at various venues and have never come across this lack of courtesy for people less able. Every music event we have attended has had a good seated area for those in need. I complained to the venue direct as this is contradictory to the Equality Act - no response. I then forwarded an email to their Head Office at Red Cat on 19 June ...... to date, no response.

What a lovely setting this hotel lies in with views across the river. No problems whatsoever finding a table and the food was very nice andthestaffvery attentive. Thoroughly enjoyed our visit.

Described by the Wherry as being their best room, the Queen suite was very large with fantastic views. However, it was badly let down by the appalling state of the balcony. The paintwork on the pillars was peeling down to bare wood, there was serious mould overhead and cobwebs in abundance. The floor was very shabby and the windows needed cleaning. We were told the refurbishment programme had been put back twice, but surely, at least the cobwebs could have been removed and the floor smartened up? It would be very disappointing for Bridal Couples booking this room.

Decided to have a carvery as to nice to cook.very disappointed when Decided what to have meat was OK but looking at vegetables was quite disgusted that there was a new dish of cauliflower cheese but they had put the remains of what what left of the old dish on top of the new one. Really not good practice that should have been thrown away .needless to say we did not eat .manager needs to talk to cooks.
