The therapy pools were relaxing, refreshing and immaculate, as was the entire property. The entire property was tasteful and refined. The staff were efficient...not warm, but fine. We will likely return, as this is an easy detour and break on a North/ South Roadtrip!

Πήγαμε και εμείς επιτέλους στο υποτιθεται πενταστερο Θερμαι Συλλα για να απολαυσουμε ενα τριημερο ξεκουρασης,απολαυσης με οτι αυτο συνεπαγεται….με το που φτανουμε στην εισοδο δεν υπηρχε κανεις να μας βοηθησει με τις βαλιτσες και ουτε μπαρα για αναπηρους η καροτσακια…..στο χωρο της πισινας καθολου προσωπικο για να παραγγειλουμε με αποτελεσμα να παω μεσα στο μπαρ του ξενοδοχειου για να φωναξω καποιο να μας εξυπηρετησει……ενας συμπαθεστατος νεαρος ετρεχε ολη μερα σαν τον Βεγγο απο το μπαρ στην πισινα,απο την πισινα στο spa απο τη ρεσεψιον στα δωματια,απο τα δωματια παλι στην πισινα προκειμενου να εξυπηρετησει τους πελατες εφ ολης της υλης μια και το ΠΕΝΤΑΣΤΕΡΟ ξενοδοχειο ηταν παντελως understaffed….την δευτερη μερα δεν μας ειχαν αντικαταστησει τα μικρα νερακια στο ψυγειο και οταν καλεσα τη ρεσεψιον μου απαντησαν οτι τη δευτερη μερα ηταν με χρεωση……οτα παραπονεθηκα και τους ειπα οτι εγω με τον αντρα μου ταξιδευουμε συνεχεια και αυτο δεν το κανουν ουτε ξενοδοχειακια αγονης γραμμης μου απαντησαν οτι σε αυτα τα μερη το νερο δεν πινεται γιαυτο δεν χρεωνουν το νερο…..το ιντερνετ στο δωματιο ηταν τοσο αργο οσο οι ταινιες του Αγγελοπουλου……και για να παμε στα καλυτερα….το πρωινο…..μιζερο,τσιγκουνικο αφυδατωμενο σαν τον κυριο με τα γιαλια στην εισοδο της τραπεζαριας που παρακολουθουσε με το βλεμα του καθε μπουκια και γουλια των πελατων…..θυμιζε εφοριακους δεκαετιας του 60….που ακουστηκε σεπενταστερο υποτιθεται wellness χωρο να μην εχουν ουτε ενα φρουτο περα απο μια πιατελα με κακοποιημενο,κομμενο ακτινιδιο Επαναλαμβανω ταξιδευουμε συνεχεια απο απλες πανσιον μεχρι πανακριβα ξενοδοχεια μα ΠΟΤΕ δεν ετυχε να μην βρω στο πρωινο ποικιλια φρουτων….οταν δε το ειπα στον αγελαστο της γκεσταπο φυλακα στην εισοδο με εγραψε κανονικα και μια κοπελα που σερβιρε τα πρωινα με ακουγε λες και της ζητησα στρουθοκαμηλο για πρωινο και μου προτρινε να φαω γλυκο με στεβια…με τα πολλα τους ζητησα μπανανα και μηλο και μου εφεραν απο την κουζινα…ειμαι σιγουρη οτι ο μιζερος που μετραγε τις μπουκιες μας ακομα θα κλαιει για τα μηλα και μπανανες που μας εφεραν…οσο για τον καφε τι να πω…ενα ξεπλυμα που θυμιζε καραβισιο χειριστης ποιοτητας….αποκορυφωμα…οταν ζητησα φρεντο μου ειπαν στο πενταστερο ξενοδοχειο οτι ειναι με χρεωση…..συμπερασμα ..το θερμαι Συλλα ειναι ενα πενταστερο με σβησμενα τα 3 αστερια ,με καθολου προσωπικο και με μιζερη τσιφουτικη νοοτροπια…ΚΡΙΜΑ….ενα τοσο ομορφο κτιριο να εχει πεσει σε λαθος χερια…..

The classic case of the red apple that the worm eats inside. And obviously in the case of this hotel, the evil must start with the management. A world original, the main entrance of the hotel has steps, without access for people with mobility issues, with an old wooden door that the customer must push through loaded with suitcases to enter. Upon entering, you are greeted by the glamour of a once-palatial space, you are impressed by the high-ceilinged space with the careful decoration and you are put off by the cold behavior of the staff. The room is simple, disproportionate to the cost and the title "5-star". The refrigerator is empty, the TV the size of a desktop computer screen does not work, the old-style bathtub with a curtain and the basin with a drain. The outlet next to the bed is broken. In the morning we asked for breakfast in the room. Big mistake, because apparently this "5-star" hotel does not have this service. First they brought us coffee with the corresponding charge and when we contacted the reception again, they brought us a breakfast tray that would be ashamed to serve even a third-class pension. Not a bottle of water, not even two napkins.. The spa areas are decent, a bit reminiscent of old sanatoriums but decent. The massage is administrative. The masseur is distant and cold, practicing an unknown technique, for those who have experience of what a good massage means, that in no way corresponds to the cost. We said nothing. The cold behavior of the staff gives you the idea that any complaint will fall on deaf ears because it is either their policy or they are expressing their dissatisfaction with their management in this way. Too bad. It could be much better.

I am visiting Thermae Sylla for more than 15 years (first as couple then as family with 2 kids and now alone) and it remains fantastic. From facilities to services to people. It’s an all time classic. Always excellent. One of very few luxury values.
