My recent stay at Salero Guest House
was, unfortunately, a very negative
experience, falling far short of basic
expectations for accommodation.
The most pressing issue was the
unacceptable cleanliness of the shared
toilets. They were consistently dirty, which
is a major hygiene concern, especially for
a shared facility among seven rooms.
Adding to this discomfort, male guests
were frequently using the ladies' toilet,
further compromising the cleanliness and
privacy of the designated female
facilities.
Furthermore, basic amenities were sorely
lacking. My room had no towels
whatsoever, which meant I couldn't even
wash my face or take a shower properly.
There was also no complimentary drinking
water provided, and I was charged an
exorbitant €4.50 for a single bottle of
water, which feels exploitative. A
hairdryer was also missing from the
facilities, which is a standard offering
even in manv hu daet arcommodations
The noise level in the rooms was also a
significant problem. There appeared to
be no sound insulation whatsoever
between rooms, meaning conversations
and every movement from neighboring
guests were clearly audible. This made it
very difficult to get any rest or feel a
sense of privacy.
While there was a smal kitchen, its utility
was limited as the fridge was completely
full of other guests' food, leaving no
space for personal items.
Overall, the combination of dirty shared
facilities, lack of essential towels and
other amenities, an absence of sound
insulation, and questionable pricing for
basics made this a highly uncomfortable
and unsatisfactory stay. I cannot
recommend Salero Guest House.
