Hotel Bourre Bonne Louisville, Curio Collection by Hilton

We always try to plan a quick getaway before school starts back and life becomes crazy again. This year we picked the Hotel Bourre Bonne. It’s a quick 25 minutes from home. As soon as I saw pictures and videos, I knew it had to be our next staycation. Check-in was super easy and the room was ready. The lobby is beautiful and there are so many small touches to look at in your way to the elevator. The room was handsomely decorated. It was luxury with a bit of a loft feel. The under the bed lights were amazing when having to get up in the middle of the night. The shades are power operated and blocks out the light from downtown. The only complaint about the room was the traffic noise outside, but that is not the hotel’s fault. I was sad that the pool closed at 7, as we had just got ready to go to the pool around 6:30. We did get up the next morning to enjoy some pool time and the cabanas before check out. If you go, try to find time to do this. It was so peaceful and we had the pool to ourselves for a while. Another thing about the pool, it is chilled! So on the hot 90+ degree days, it is very refreshing. There is a large hot tub to enjoy as well. The rooftop bar is a vibe and stayed busy the entire night. It made for some great people watching. The servers did a good job keeping up with everyone. The hotel is walking distance to many different restaurants and bars. They do not do self parking, just valet. They were very fast when we were ready to get our car to head home. I would definitely recommend trying out the Hotel Bourre Bonne when you are in Louisville. It is upscale vibes at a reasonable price.

Had freshly opened a few weeks prior, so very clean and updated, but also some of the staff were still learning the menus, or it was their first day, so you didn’t have the well trained/seasoned folks, but they were all very kind and were trying their best, I think with a little more practice this place will shine! The upstairs rooftop is great, and the overall location is convenient although because it was new I think, some uber/lyft/taxi drivers were confused about the entrance (it’s behind the hotel)
