Days Inn by Wyndham Lost Hills

Nice hotel close to highway. Comfortable room and staff very friendly Breakfast can be improved

Refused to accommodate 1st floor request. Door key didn’t work after multiple reprogramming attempts, so switched to a different room (still not on first floor!). WiFi didn’t work. A/C can’t keep up. Only way the nightstand light works is when you pull it away from the wall. The tv works for less than a minute at a time (what a surprise!), and the shower switches back and forth between scalding hot and cold. The desk clerk was new and very unhelpful, so I didn’t waste my time bringing most of these issues to her attention, as we only stayed for one night. On the upside, the beds were very nice, as was the cosmetic condition of the room itself. If only they would address the myriad of maintenance issues… If only!

Everything was fine. Room clean and in good condition. The breakfast area and coffee was also fine. Yes the food choices are simple and basic, but are acceptable.to get you out the door in the morning. It also opens at 6AM. Good spot at I5 and CA Hwy 46.

I stopped here while driving up I-5 and have made a note that it's worth a return on my next road trip. This is a budget motel near both the freeway and a truck stop, so my expectations were not high. But it was surprisingly comfortable with a friendly and accommodating staff. My room was super clean, had a nice-looking bedspread, decent fridge, good shower pressure, bedside lamps and, the too-rare addition of sheer curtains so I could enjoy both daylight and privacy before the sun set. Why don't more motels do that!?! It matters. Also, the windows kept out more of the road noise than I expected. Okay, the bureau was missing a drawer which didn't look great, but also didn't impact my comfort. The breakfast was the usual full-of-sugar and carbs / no protein offering but at this price point that's what I expect and so use the room fridge to store my own.
