This stay was a gift for my brother’s wedding, they enjoyed the peace and sights this hotel has to offer. Everything was clean and the staff was really friendly. This hotel has a very nice magical feeling with hobbit like rooms that make you feel inside a fairytale.

De mooiste accommodatie waar ik ooit heb mogen overnachten! Erg sfeervol met een open haard binnen en bar. Vanaf het terras prachtig uitzicht over de groene bergen en het prachtige dorpje Boquete. Het personeel is dan ook bijzonder vriendelijk, vooral Melanie. Zij werkte bij de receptie en regelde hotel shuttle het dorp in en haalde je ook weer op. Ze heeft ons geholpen met het boeken van alle activiteiten, ontbijt daarop afgestemd en veel meer. Een bijzondere locatie met geweldig personeel en niet te vergeten lekker eten voor een goede prijs!

Wir bewohnten das Turmzimmer "Kira" mit Blick auf die Sendemasten des Vulkans. Tolle Einrichtung auf engem Raum. Großzügiges Bad unten, ausreichender Schlafraum oben. Sehr gemütlich. Die Rezeptionistin Melanie war überaus freundlich und hilfsbereit, auch bei einer Tourbuchung; ihre Kollegin der Spätschicht war eher spröde. Immerhin hat sie aber - auf Nachfrage unsererseits - Gutscheine für kostenloses Frühstück ausgehändigt, als kleines Trostpflaster für den nicht zu nutzenden Pool und den leichten Baulärm draußen. Insgesamt haben uns die Bauarbeiten nicht gestört, da wir tagsüber meistens unterwegs waren. Natürlich wäre es aber schön, gewesen, den Pool nutzen zu können. Herrlicher Garten mit 1-Loch-Golfplatz und Cricket-Toren und toller Rundumsicht, Sessel und Liegestühle sind vorhanden. Shuttleservice in den Ort für $2 pro Person. Für den Rückweg empfiehlt sich Uber, das ist günstiger als die örtlichen Taxis. Als Kritikpunkte sind anzumerken: Der eigentlich sehr geschmackvolle große Saal mit Bar, Restaurant und Kamin wirkte sehr ungemütlich durch die offenen Türen zur Terrasse und zum Haupteingang. Hier herrschte Durchzug, dadurch kam aber keine Gemütlichkeit auf. Alle Gäste saßen mit Jacken oder dicken Pullovern dort. Der Service war nicht so optimal, die Getränkebestellung kam erst sehr spät, zum Teil nach dem Essen. An einem Abend mussten die Barkeeper in der Küche aushelfen, sodass nur eine Bedienung für Drinks und Servieren der Mahlzeiten zuständig war. Im Badezimmer wurde während der drei Übernachtungen nicht bemerkt, dass vom vorherigen Gast ein gebrauchtes Pflaster in der Seifenablage der Dusche lag.

I booked it prior to knowing the facility was under construction; I selected the non-refundable option so we were stuck. Wish I would have known before.

Eine spezielle Unterkunft etwas ausserhalb von Boquete. Die Angestellten waren sehr freundlich und Hilfsbereit und das Essen war lecker. Leider wird die Unterkunft zur Zeit erweitert, wodurch Lärm entsteht und der Pool nicht benutzbar ist. Eine Information auf der Webseite wäre gut gewesen. Die Unterkunft ist etwas in die Jahre gekommen - z.B. liessen sich die Fenster kaum/nicht öffnen und schliessen, die Farbe geht ab…

Shortly before our stay here we received an email informing us about the construction work, saying that it was mainly the pool and hot tub area that couldn’t be used. In fact it turned out that apart from the bar and restaurant nothing was available at all (no kitchenette, no pool, no climbing wall, etc). When we arrived we could barely hear our own word during check in because of heavy machines everywhere. After a lot of discussion and when we had decided to cancel our stay, we were given rooms further away from all the noise and wanted to give it a try. We do understand that construction work is annoying for everyone working here as well but basic service and a bit more interest to solve problems (no WiFi in our rooms, no water, no electricity for some hours etc) can be expected at such a costly hotel. Once all the work is done it will be a beautiful place and the rooms have really nice interior designs. Still, service was very poor, no room service (!!), no emptying of bins, a dirty floor when we moved in, no water or glass available on the room. Also during breakfast some meals were not available for days. We are sorry for the harsh words and do want to thank the ladies at the front desk for their efforts!
