Checkin Bungalows Atlántida

This hotel isn't worthy of being on any travel site as the pictures online, are not a true reflection of the horrible condition of this place. We checked in to Apartment 91 on Monday 12th May, and left the next morning. I booked based on the photos on website, which led me to believe that this was a really nice place, but our apartment bore no resemblance to the photos online. There was mould everywhere, a damp smell in bedroom, and when you opened the wardrobe which looked like it was made in the 80's, there was a mouldy smell, with a gully at the bottom. The TV was not working, and the microwave must have been 20 years old. The pillows had seams open, and there was dead cockroaches all over the pathways to the apartment. The view from our bedroom was a wall a metre away with gravel floor. It was more like a light shaft but offered minimal light. No aircon. I asked if we could be moved to another room but was told that all rooms were the same. Next morning I went to reception and was told that there was nothing else available so we checked out. We had to rent another apartment in a different area and received no refund from OntheBeach or the hotel. We were so lucky to get somewhere else, even though it cost us an additional €1200, money we would prefer not to have spent, but for health reasons, we couldn't possibly stay in this absolute hell hole. You normally receive a request to submit a review after a holiday, but we got nothing from hotel or Onthebeach, as they knew the review would not be kind. Surely, good or bad, they should be open to people to give their opinions, which can be backed up by the photos. Expensive lesson to learn, but we won't get caught again! I just hope others don't book based on the website like we did.

Nice place for budget holiday. Location was fantastic, near the beach and shopping centre around the corner. Free bus to Siam Park and Siam Mall nearby too. Food was lovely, 3 swimming pools, plenty of daily activities. I was in a quiet part of the complex. The only negative thing was lack of air con in the room( rented a fan from reception for refundable 20€) and room service being aparently twice a week...i checked in on Monday and nobody came in to clean the room until Saturday. Otherwise all good, no other complaints🙂 all staff were very helpful and friendly.

The check-in was quick, friendly, nice stuff on reception, bar, restaurants, good service, 3 pools, 2 Billard at the bar area something more

The receptionists are all a credit they were lovely although a bit of a wait checking in when more than one person at the desk I don’t know what they didn’t deal individually. The apartment smelt of sewage and we asked for clean towels and never received them the whole time we were there the apartment bins were changed once but other than that nothing was cleaned. The food was actually okay although I’d recommend the hotel purchasing another toaster as if there’s a queue you are waiting a while as it’s quite slow. One women in the dinner hall shouted at my children for getting a juice being half board they are only little so found this disgusting - it’s not like we were trying to take alcohol. The swimming pools and the bar area weren’t great!! We won’t be back.
