What can I say. Perfection us close to this hotel. Room, Food, Pool area, Entertainment, Staff are extremely good. The gym is well equipped a nice area for yoga classes. A trainer on hand for personal classes. It's clean. Busy and not cramped. The only thing I didn't like. Was there was no way of blocking out the music from the evening's entertainment in ones room.

Hotel wonderful. The only two areas which I feel need improving are tge WIFI as the strength and signal are terrible and continually require re sign in. The gym must have stronger air-conditioning on all of the tine. Great equipment for a hotel gym, however just so so hot

Checkingin was quick and painless, we arrived after the restruant had closed, but for the late arrivals they had a small selection of salads, bread and a sweet dishes available in the main restaurant. The food was great, plenty of variety, many different type of fish available, lots of fresh fruit, salad bar and a large selection of sweet dishes. The room we had was brilliant overlooking the swimming pool area and was facing the sea front as booked. Very well stocked gym, plenty of machines and weight training machines. The staff were brilliant polite ad helpful. Rooms were cleaned daily with the option of changing the bed sheets or not. Refill station for cold hot or room tempreture drinking water available on every floor next to the lift Day and evening entertainment was brilliant and plenty of poolside activities planned for the day, our favourite was aqua aerobics. They don't allow you to reserve a sunbed between 9am and 10am, any towels or belongings are removed and put in a plastic bag for you to pick up when you do turnup. I think this is brilliant hotel policy as I have been to other resorts where this isn't the case and many guests put their towels and turn up late in the afternoon or not at all. Checkout was the only problem at the end, all guests are required to vacate the rooms by 1200, on this occassion new guests had arrived and only one desk was open( I'm sure there is a good explanation 0for this) taking a long time. However this wasn't really a problem for us as we left our luggage in the luggage room and went to the poolside until the queue had died down, but if I was in a hurry to leave may have been an issue. Overall a brilliant hotel and resort, very peaceful and quite especially the poolside, I would stay again if we visit Tenerife.

Stayed here for 4 nights & already looking at dates for next year!! I upgraded to the UP experience for 2 days which gives you exclusive access to the rooftop which boats stunning sea views, sun beds, 2 infinity pools, snacks & drinks like champagne, wines, cocktails & beers from 10am - 6pm so it’s definitely worth the upgrade. Clean & spacious rooms with a good sized balcony, you are also guaranteed a sea view room when you book UP.

Our 4th Visit to Arona Gran – Still as Wonderful as Ever! We’ve just returned from our fourth visit to Arona Gran over the past nine years—and once again, it didn’t disappoint! This was our second stay in the UP! area, and the experience was just as fantastic as we remembered. For the first time, we booked directly through the hotel, which included a 15% discount and complimentary airport transfers—a great bonus. Booking the UP! package also came with a free massage, à la carte dinner, discounted drinks, and all-day access to drinks and snacks, which made the upgrade well worth it. The UP! terrace remains one of our favourite parts of the hotel—so peaceful and relaxing, with plenty of available sunbeds no matter the time of day. It's clearly a hidden gem, as we even saw a few familiar faces from our last visit two years ago! Some of the regular guests we met mentioned they return several times a year, which says a lot about the consistent quality and comfort of the hotel. Staff throughout the hotel were friendly, attentive, and always welcoming. They really help make the stay feel special. The main restaurant food continued to impress with a wide variety of options each day. That said, we did feel that the dress code could be enforced more strictly. On a few occasions, we saw guests arriving for dinner in swimwear, vest tops, and sliders, which felt out of place considering the hotel's previous standards. When we first stayed in 2016, the dress code was more consistently upheld, and we’d love to see a return to that level of formality, especially during the evening meal service. Evening entertainment was a bit hit-and-miss—some nights were great, others a bit quieter—but overall there was always something going on. Around the main pool, there was a good selection of daily entertainment, and in the UP! lounge, we enjoyed a relaxing cheese and wine afternoon. That said, compared to a previous stay, there seemed to be less entertainment in the UP! area—no live music or poolside activities this time, which we had enjoyed before. This could’ve just been due to the week we visited, but a little more variety there would be welcomed. All in all, Arona Gran continues to be a favourite of ours, and we’re already looking forward to our fifth visit. It’s a wonderful hotel with great service, excellent food, and a laid-back atmosphere that keeps us coming back year after year.

Just returned from a fantastoc 5th visit staying in the UP! and as ever the service provided by Nerissa and the team was impeccable, with the support for a guest in our party with limited mobility especially well catered for by the team including allocated seating and lounger access amd room aids provided. Jessica was an amazing hostess in rhe UP!! alhough at times I feel she could have benefitted from additional staffing to assist her as she was often on her own trying to manage both the bar area and the UP! lounge resulting in queues at the bar area. The UP! experience whilst still very good does show signs of becoming a little stale, and I think the hotel management should consider maybe reviewing the offering to include self service soft drinks (rather than needing to queue at the bar) plus having ice creams available as an option. The resturant provided a good selection for breakfast and each evening with special shout out to Rocio for always meeting us with a smile and attentive table service. As with other reviews the cost of staying at the Arona has crept up considerably with this years booking approx €500 more than last year, which whilst I can appreciate as the cost of everything has inceased, I also feel the hotel is making cut backs too, for example at the evening buffet I notoced the team often being quite restrictive with the portion size of some of the cooked meats and whilst I understand the need to reduce food waste this approach can make you feel like you shouldn't ask for more, there is also now no rose for the ladies at the gala night dinner, and also the spa tolietries are only available if you ask, whilst as a returning guest I knew to ask, I feel this is a deliberate attempt by the hotel to withdraw this particular aspect to the unsuspecting guest. Putting these minor points to one side, the Arona is still a great hotel and we will no doubt return again to enjoy a wonderful hotel which is guarentes an enjoyable stay, especially for those who choose to upgrade to tbe UP! experience. Well done team Arona.
