Good location,no slippers, Los Angeles Grand Sheraton Hotel is excellent! The rooms are spacious and well-appointed, the staff is friendly and attentive, and the location is perfect for exploring the city. Highly recommended!

Could easily be zero stars. Original room was 93 degrees upon check in, the air conditioning unit was poor by anyone's standard, we asked to switch rooms. They did not offer to come get our bags, or move us to a new room so we brought our luggage back down to the front desk. We were then given a second room. Again, no offer made to accompany us and see if the new room was up to standards. This room was 92 degrees upon entry. After a second phone call, they sent up staff to change the filters on the AC unit. That team told us the AC was functioning well and blowing cold air (it was blowing cold air as if you had a few ice cubes in your mouth and blew on my neck) and to use the blackout curtains (after a sort of condescending explanation of what blackout curtains do) and give it some time for the AC to work. We went out to dinner for about two hours and came back to a nice cool 87 degree room. We once again took our belongings back downstairs. We were then told by the front desk staff that since we booked a room with a king size bed all of those rooms faced the sun and would all have similar problems (why would that be an acceptable answer?) and they could do nothing more for us since they accommodated us once already. I had no idea their idea of accommodating someone was to put them in a room with the same problem that the previous room had but what do I know, I am not in the hospitality industry. We were then told that the hotel was completely booked so no further ”accommodations” could be made. We asked for a refund and this is the first time they reacted with some conviction, they were happy to let us leave. Must be nice to be able to turn away business. At no time were there any apologies, any remorse, just matter-of-factly let us leave. My wife and I don't argue or yell, we never feel its worth it, but we left angry and hotel-less on a Saturday night in Los Angeles. We scrambled to find a new hotel but the damage was done, they took our entire Saturday away from us, which no refund could ever compensate for, they temporarily took our joy to be in town on our own as we are parents and do not get much time away. We did take our business elsewhere, to a Hilton, they seem to understand that to relax you need a room that is slightly cooler than a sauna. We were able to salvage the remaining days of our trip. Also the elevators at the Freehand are old (charming?) and constantly in use because of the rooftop bar so it took us waiting for a few packed elevators to get up and down to the hot AF rooms which probably added to our level of frustration. But it was mostly the Sahara like environment of the hot room. Did I mention the rooms were hot? Also maybe use a free hand to open a book on what hospitality looks like, I think your staff may be surprised. (see what I did there?)

The one incident that nearly ruined my stay at CitizenM was the aggressive sprinkler inspection. I was not notified by email, phone, nor physical note about an inspection. At 9:15am, I was awoken by banging on my guest room door. I went to the door to see two men continuing to bang on the door, saying that they needed immediate access to check on equipment. Everything I've been taught about hotel safety was to NOT open the door to unidentified men. I told them everything in the room was fine and that I would be checking out within the hour. They continued to insist that I immediately open the door, which started to frighten me. I told them I was going to call the front desk to check if they were sent by the hotel. I was surprised that one of the men responded in an angry manner saying, ”FINE, GO AHEAD AND CALL THE FRONT DESK!” The woman at the front desk apologized, said that she too had just found out about the inspection, and said that the men were indeed authorized to inspect the sprinklers. I opened the door and they did a quick inspection. I did not appreciate the aggressive, unprofessional manner in which they demanded entry into my room. Other than that, the rest of my experience was excellent!

Location - located on Figueroa Street across the street from the USC campus. Proximity to USC is the biggest winner for this Radisson. Accommodations - The lobby was basic, one story with a small front desk and small pool antey. The gym was basic with 2 treadmills and 2 ellipticals and weights up to 35 OK lbs.. The rooms are decent size and well maintained with nice decor. The bathrooms can stand to be updated though. Service - The front desk folks are OK but the hotel policies really bring it down overall. We stayed at the hotel during move in week and weekend (5 days 4 nights) but were not given a water bottle like everyone else, that was weird. We received some Amazon boxes while there and were charged $5/box after the 3rd box but were not told in advance from the hotel that they would charge us, so they basically held the packages I ordered for my daughter's move in hostage.

We were very happy with this hotel. Employees were friendly and nice and it was in a good location. Room was clean and nice. They have candy, cup of noodles, tea and coffee in the lobby for free. They also have free bottles of water and chips in the room, which was a nice touch. The breakfast was the usual continental, but was kept well stocked. Overall, it was a good value for the price and we would stay there again.

The hotel is very unique. It is a photo-taking place and the service is very considerate. It is definitely one of the highest quality hotels in the United States. After all, hotels managed in Hong Kong are obviously of much better quality than hotels in the United States. The hotel facilities are a bit old, but it's pretty good to stay at the Langham level at this price.

Entrance and lobby is quite nice and modern, the rooms are exactly the opposite. Although is does the job after a long travelday, the room was very outdated. Bed was pretty good I must say. Also the fire alarm sounded twice in the middle of the night. The gave us complementary breakfast as a compensation but only after a making a complaint. Location is pretty good. Near aiport and near Rental cars (10 min walk) The fitness room is ok. Outdated, but still does the job.

Sp being a few days in LA after traveling for a couple weeks and leaving from LAX. Very nice hotel for our purposes.Chose it because we had an early flight and it was close to the rental car return. The affordable cost wa probably because parking was $75 a day valet with the option to come and go as uou please or self park in a garage down the street for $25 each time you exit. I had booked quickly and didn’t see that so I was surprised. Staff all over the hotel were so nice. The first night our ac wasn’t working but we were too tired to deal with it until morning. Since we were staying another night they moved us, gave us free valet for the day (We used the self park option and already used a credit card so didn’t want to ask about that) and free breakfasts and access to the lounge with drinks and snacks 24 hrs. They were so accommodating. Rooms were clean, beds were comfortable I’d stay there again.

We spent 7 nights here. Located in a country club setting. One side overlooks golf course. Golf course is closed. Pond view (not lake view…only complaint I have) was not desirable as Golf course is going through face lift. Once done it would be awesome. Even without the face lift, we had great views over looking down town sky line from a distance and golf course greenery down below. We got 8th floor which made it so much better. I’d suspect that that lower floors ( all front facing) would still be good. Staff, every one we interacted with, was brilliant. They sure understand hospitality! Facility is pretty new. Lobby is well appointed. Breakfast area can get busy. Waffle station for made it order waffles was a nice touch. Staff was ready to help. We wanted meatless egg and they were willing and able to accommodate. Swimming pool. Fire place sitting areas. Laundry (didn’t use but is supposedly dirt cheap). Gated community like entrance. Parking was full every evening. They have rights for street parking. Just off the freeway. We found this location very convenient. 25-30 minutes from LAX, Disney Land, Down town, Beverly Hills/ Hollywood etc. We opted for larger deluxe room which was so well worth it. We had issues with the pullout sofa. Quick call and prompt response. Issue fixed with a pleasant smile. Like most places you tell them at check in how often you want the room service. Elevators were spacious. Three of them so wait time was minimal. Wi-Fi was pretty good. Beds were comfortable. Great experience!

Front desk, housekeeping and restaurant are all welcoming and accommodating. It feels like home. Rooms are very clean and well maintained. The location is close to restaurants and Los Angeles International airport.
