The hotel facilities are very new and well maintained. The room is very clean and the housekeeping is also very good every day. The location is very convenient and it is easy to drive. The parking fee is $67 per day including taxes. You can only park by valet and cannot park by yourself. There is a self-service parking lot opposite. There is a restaurant on the first floor, which is also convenient for eating out. Except for the slightly small room size, everything else is very satisfactory.

Everything you'd expect from Four Seasons and more. Super friendly and professional staff. Spacious, clean, and well equipped rooms. Higher floors have great view, with balcony too. I liked their aluminum canned water. Excellent Italian restaurant Culina. Manager David even emailed me assuring that they'd save my room preference profile for future stays, very impressive, thanks! Four Season is often the answer when I struggle to find hotels that don't compromise on having both location/neighbourhood and views, this is another example.

I was so excited to stay here. I arrived about 5pm and our room was not available to strike one so they gave us tokens for free drinks at the poolside, while we were there we waited to see if anyone will come up to us and offer drinks and nothing so I decided to go up to the bar. We ordered our drinks and when paying with the tokens the bartender made it clear to me that her tip was not included with the tokens strike 2.. made me feel like I couldn't afford it, so we decided to go have dinner, we finished dinner after 6pm and still not call my room was available so I decided to go ask..when I get there all of a sudden our room is available. We go up to our room and its the wrong one strike 3 when going back to the lobby I found a gentleman walking our luggage up so I let him know our room was not the one I reserved he apologized and walked me down to the lobby.. when we were in the lobby they apologized and gave me a discount for the mixed up.. the agreed that was not the room I reserved and was going to send wine and cheese up to our room.. never received the wine strike 4. The next morning we decided to check out I told the gal there about my horrible experience so they waved the valet also when I got my bill they added other charges of $90 and gave me a discount of $60 . Yea the other charges were added to offset the discount. I felt so uncomfortable never going back again, I'm still sad about my family trip that was ruined and made us feel unwelcome. Never had this experience ever

What a perfect boutique hotel! Secluded for privacy but close to everything you would want in Beverly Hills. Beds are wonderfully comfortable and rooms are very clean. All marble baths are luxurious and the rain shower? Perfection! I enjoyed coffee on my balcony each morning watching the city wake-up. Lobby is spacious and welcoming. Restaurant food is superb. The staff is professional, friendly and helpful. I will most definitely stay here again when my travels bring me to Beverly Hills.

The breakfast variety is quite rich in the American style, and it is full. The room is not bad, the location is close to Beverly, it is quite convenient, that is, there is no subway nearby. There is a parking lot, and there is a HERZ car rental point below the hotel, which is generally convenient.

I would start by saying that overall I really liked this hotel, boutique vibe, great photos everywhere, nice staff and bar/restaurant area with great food but….the devil as they say is in the detail and in my room there was a level of inattention to detail in the finishing that let the hotel down and detracted from its good elements. Tatty paintwork, marked bedding, it looked like an iron burn and a badly creased under sheet and a hole in the bathroom door and a torn shower curtain. I like polished concrete as an architectural feature but in a hotel bathroom it just looks a bit grubby so detracts from the experience of what is a pleasant venue in a good location.

We stayed in this hotel in july 2022 and I was not really pleased. I booked a room for 4 persons, since we were traveling with our teenage children. I asked for an early check-in, because we would be arriving from europe on a flight. All communication is done through a sort of messaging app (where they keep referring to your room as a 'wonder' - quite strange). Early check-in would cost an additional 25$ and they could only say if this would be available on the day itself. Annoying. on the day itself, after a 12 hours flight, no message from the hotel. So we waited for a couple of hours until we could check in and saw that 1) the room was a LOT smaller then it looked on the pictures 2) there was only one double bed, and one sofa bed, which was not made. I then again, had to talk via the app, because the person on reception was not there, and they gave us some sheets for the sofa bed. This sofa bed was terrible. I mean, I know the hotel has a retro, I just didn't expect the bed to be dating from the 1950s... The mattress was so flimsy our kids could hardly sleep. Customers service was a joke, (all impersonal - chatting through an app) basally saying they could do nothing for us and that we should be happy they already gave us extra sheets (???!) The location is not bad, although a bit isolated. Anyway, I would not return here ever.

I’m absolutely horrified at how my stay was handled. In the morning of Jan 7 2022, the front desk called me saying I had a call, the name of the caller was unclear to the front desk clerk. So I took the call knowing my father is the only one who knows my room number and I assumed it must be him as I am in town and staying near by his house to be able to care for him. The caller was not a voice I recognized and he asked for someone by another name. So I said sorry wrong room and hung up. When I went to tell the front desk to please not connect callers who ask only for the room number because the call was not for me and he had woken me up by calling. the clerk then confirmed that the caller asked for me by name and room number. My stomach dropped. What?!? This is terrifying. It’s possible the clerk lied about this fact to cover his mistake in not following protocol and putting a call through without confirming the guests name the caller is seeking. However, for him to not admit this after I spend hours freaking out and figuring out what to do, is beyond inconsiderate it is immoral. The manager’s first response to me over the matter was that his staff handled the phone call protocol correctly and that I accepted the call. This is after i had to coax him from his office to even talk to me, his entire attitude was that he couldn’t be bothered to do more than the bare minimum legally speaking. Ok, so your only concern is that you legally covered your self on basis of me accepting the call. But what about some strange man has my name and room number and I’m a solo female and you do not care at all other than your telephone protocol…. They offered me a room change and I said I had to think about it but ok that’s an option. I decided it doesn’t matter if I’m in another room bc if there’s a breach in their system my new room number connecting to my name would be listed. the all male staff at this point aren’t behaving in a manner that makes me feel safe to sleep alone here another night as they are barely showing concern or a desire to make me feel safer or like they even have a clue how to work in hospitality. These men had the customer service voice but the behavior was to protect their own jobs. There was not a shred of concern that a guest of theirs could be in danger or that somehow their system had been hacked. I am born and raised LA. I am not afraid of LA, I did not listen to travel advisories about crime in LA right now bc it is my home town. I needed to visit my family and be near to my dad but not in his home after flying internationally (covid). This location was my best bet. Aside from the horror of who knows what the hell was going on, the room is also totally not worth the price, stains, dirty walls, thin walls. My windows had no screens. But I can’t stop thinking that some strange man new my room and name and then pretended he wasn’t calling me? So he wanted to check my voice? That I’m female? Young? Alone? And then the managers attit

It should be regarded as a bed and breakfast. The landlord lives in the main house, which is a partial house in the garden. The landlord is a lady and has done everything that should be done, but she is not very enthusiastic and conforms to the rules of foreign exchanges. The advantage is that it will not disturb you much

I booked the Waldorf to experience a 5 star hotel for my birthday. It turned out to be the most stressful and negative hotel experience I've ever had. I checked in on my Hilton Honors app the day ahead for a 3:00pm arrival. I got there around 3:30 and was told my room wasn't ready yet as the previous people who stayed there checked out late. It would be ready in around 30 minutes. I was fine with a short wait and they suggested I check out the pool and rooftop restaurant so that was what I did. Needed a key to go up there so waited for someone to come out for a few minutes to give me access. Unfortunately according to one the guest services people, the pool was closing at 4:00pm for a sellout event so I literally sat down for a minute and was told they were closing in 5 minutes. Rooftop had a nice view and I made a dinner reservation for 6:45pm so I can watch the sunset while dining, figuring that would give me plenty of time to freshen up, rest and change before dinner. I was so wrong. Checked with them a little after 4:00, another person tells me they need 35 more minutes to work on the room. I checked again at 5:00, and was told another 15 minutes. Took until 6:30 before I was able to get into my room. A whole 3 hours so I had no time for a shower or even much of unpacking my small bag. They did give me dining credits that the woman who gave me the keys confirmed was $300 along with another $50 HH credit but upon checkout, it was only $250 credit from the hotel. Fine, but seems like all their front desk people lie through their teeth. Room was spacious and had dimmer and bright lighting which was nice. View was street side facing the Starbucks across the street. They gave me a mobility access room which meant it had a walk in shower that's level with the toilet. Since the tub had a extension shower head with very weak water pressure, I wanted to take a shower with a regular shower head. Impossible since the mobility access shower had a hole in the hose so when I turned it on, it just sprayed water everywhere but no water would come out of the shower head. So had to shower in the deep narrow tub that was very hard to turn around. I did report this to the front desk the next morning and the person assured me they would fix the shower since if a guest who's mobility challenged needs to use that shower, it needs to be working. Well, when I checked out 2 hours later and mentioned it to another person who was checking me out, he said there was no note on that room. I swear those front desk people just smiles to your face and lies all day. As I mentioned, I wanted to stay at this hotel for my birthday to relax and be stress-free. The experience with the check-in was so stressful because I really wanted to be able freshen up and get some rest in my room before dinner, I almost felt like crying from frustration. Also, I was told by the HH booking agent that the hotel will have a little welcome package for my birthday and I got nothing. Even

AAnonymous UserOne of the most satisfying hotels in Los Angeles, a little-known restaurant on the first floor. The food is amazing. I’ve never been there. I really didn’t know there was such a treasure restaurant hidden here.
The room facilities are good and new. The internet is great and the bed and pillows are very comfortable.
Toiletries need to be requested and not provided proactively.
The room cleaning was very timely and attentive.
The location is great, just off Rodeo Street, a few minutes walk away.
The only drawback is that the floor is low, close to the road, and a bit noisy.

GGuest UserMy wife and I stayed here for a few nights on a baby moon before heading to Palm Springs. Really enjoyed this hotel. The bed was comfortable, we were in a nice Jr. suite with a sitting area, huge marble bathroom, and a great palm tree view. Breakfast was really good - espcially with our status which made it basically free and the location (definitely need a car - it's LA, afterall) felt safe and nice. Downside was that there were 2 events the night we arrived - seemingly schmancy - which made the hotel a bit busier that one might like. That said, no noise made it up to our room, thankfully. Overall, would definitely stay again.

GGuest UserUpscale with a soul to it. Really liked the stay at Avalon. Wasn't chocked by all the design features though but indeed a very good hotel. Feels friendlier and less stiff than similar options in the city to my opinion.

GGuest UserBooked a three night stay here. Two couples. Check in was great. Given a welcome drink on arrival. Rooms were ready. Going up in the elevator it got stuck but we didn't mind cause mum got a fit of the giggles and nearly wet herself. Anyway.. Rooms were modern and smallish in size but had everything we needed. Great shower and coffee making facilities. Had drinks at the bar with other guests which was fun Rodeo drive doesn't bother me. I'm not into wasting tons of money so we went to the Queen Mary in Longbeach instead. Ate once in the restaurant. Food was great. Met many of the staff and they were all friendly and helpful. Met the manager too. He sat with us for a while talking about the hotel etc etc. He was a fun guy. Only thing we didn't like was the noise from the floor above but that was all. Just someone walking back and forward in high heels all night on wooden floor. Hardly the owners fault. Maybe one day he will put thick rugs down. But I wish him well. Hotel is named after his brother so I wish him every success.

GGuest UserEach morning I would go into the cafe. I was greeted so warmly each time by Justin. He was professional, great service, and made wonderful Vanilla Lattes. He should be a manager. I say this cause our evening experience with others wasn’t up to par. The wine selection needs to be overhauled. Horrible selection and no Chardonnay . Back to Justin I am sure he could assist here too. It’s hard these days to find good reliable help. You all are lucky to have him on your staff.

I stayed long-term at HDF for 16 weeks from 5-2 - 8/22/2022. I had to check out due to financial issues and the hotel extended a 90-day storage courtesy for my boxes, as I have been in a lengthy transition. When I picked up my items on Day 87 on 10/30/2022 (Sunday), I wasn't too surprised to see several of my luxury items stolen (5 bags, 2 wallets, 2 sunglasses, and even a pair of desk scissors). I was falsely informed by Kathy, the weekend front desk clerk, on 10/22 (Saturday) that there were cameras where my boxes were stored and that nobody was going through them. When I discovered my items were stolen upon pick-up, her guilty body language (several long pauses and avoiding eye contact) was a dead giveaway that she was involved with Gloria, the Central American housekeeper who works on Sundays with her two daughters. It was clear that the theft occurred on a Sunday when both of them were working together, as I know the Saturday housekeeper was not involved and had always been suspicious about Gloria. Most likely the stealing occurred between 10 AM-4 PM on 8/28, as it was the earliest Sunday after my checkout the previous Monday on 8/22 and the hours when both Kathy and Gloria were working. There is no physical evidence, but it is evident that these two thieves were the culprits. After filing a report with the Beverly Hills Police, I spoke with Kathy to clarify the matter about the cameras and she immediately got defensive, knowing she had changed her story about the cameras. I shot back that I know it was her and Gloria who stole my items and she freaked out before hanging up on me. With the stolen items valued at over $6,000 total, this crime is classified as a felony due to it exceeding $5,000 in stolen property. Of course, the hotel maintains that it is not their responsibility that an unjust theft occurred. I was even told by the evening front desk clerk that ”nobody here steals.” Well, it is a fact that two thieves work at this property and have absolutely no qualms about stealing from their guests.
