L.A. Sky Boutique Hotel

I needed a place to stay while working at the Disaster Assistance Center for wildfire survivors and this place was the closest and served the purpose. It was neat and clean, and the staff was friendly and professional. Ben, the manager, was helpful and knowledgeable about the area. No breakfast places nearby and ciffee is about .6 miles north, the Italian place on Pico was excellent and I had a cheeseburger and fries at The Apple Pan that was great. I'll stay again.

this establishment characterizes itself as a boutique. true, it is small. it is neither sophisticated nor fashionable. instead the odor of mold permeates the hotel room, reasonable bedding, hooks that fall off the wall, bathroom faucets that touch the inferior margin of the mirror, and, quite literally a dark tent contrivance obscuring the interior courtyard. this is a sad attempt to upgrade what was once a neighborhood 1/2 star motel probably then renting by the hour.

The room is poorly soundproofed. The noise from the stairs and street vehicles kept me awake at night.

This hotel is outright horrible. The management is so unprofessional and dirty. Claiming a small transfer stain ruined their duvet, cover sheets, and any blanket on that bed taking my $200 deposit. Phone call after phone call for 2 weeks got me nowhere they claim they “have” photo proof of these stained bedding however never sent the photos. He then claimed it was because we clogged the toilet so bad he had to call a plumber but couldn’t tell us what clogged it. We mentioned we had to ask for a plunger and we claimed you can’t charge someone for a maintenance issue that’s when he switched back up and said we’re now being charged after ruining all bedding. Couldn’t keep the story straight. Every time I called he would act like he was so busy and say he would call me back but never would it was like a game. This place however was clean and nicely decorated. You do have to pay $20 for parking and a $200 deposit without notice ( more than the room is ridiculous ). There is no fridge or microwave and only two towels. There isn’t anything worth it downstairs as well as not being very private. I would save your money and time and just go somewhere else.
