Perhaps due to a previous forest fire or the rain the day before, there was a power outage from midnight to just before 11am. I told the front desk that I was a little scared because I was traveling alone, but they didn't do anything special, and I slept with just a thin sheet on a cold February night. There was no toothbrush as an amenity, and there was trash left in the bathtub after cleaning. There was a Taco Bell across from the hotel, and a CVS and a shopping mall just a short walk away, so it was convenient, but I don't think I'll use it next time I go to LA.
