We found a bed bug in our room and with the hotel sold out had to stay in the room for the night, trying to get some sleep on the floor/chair but were unsuccessful. Visiting for a convention and had very long days with limited rest and the sleepless night made a huge dent in our weekend. We were moved in the morning but requests to at least get the night refunded were ignored. Staff were seen spraying the hallway before we left that day and deep cleaning the room after we were moved so they took the bed bug risk seriously but did not think it warranted any discount, unfortunately. I once worked in the industry and fully understand the cleanliest of hotels can get bed bugs from guests, and that options were limited with no housekeeping at night and hotel sold out, but was very disappointed that our request for a discount was ignored. Otherwise if not for that serious issue, it was not the most glamorous neighborhood but a short ride share away from the concert and convention venues were were attending and worked out for our needs in that regard. Housekeeping staff was friendly when we did move rooms in the morning.

This hotel is bare-bones. The room is stark, sparsely furnished, although it does have a refrigerator and a microwave. Laminate, linoleum-type flooring. Comfortable bathroom facilities. The linen and towels and washcloths look like hand-me-downs from other hotels. Kinda dingy and threadbare, yet functional. I booked through *******, I guess you get what you pay for. Close to Amtrak Union Station. Lyft/Uber available, directly on the bus line. Bus stop right in front of the hotel. Ample parking at street level right under the hotel rooms. Directly across from LA Medical Center.
