Very clean hotel, good value for money. Generously sized double room with kitchenette. Lovely fluffy towels and good electric shower. Could do with more electric points as none near the mirror for hair drying. Friendly Reception staff. Location is good but walk down to town using short cut is quite steep. Has private parking which is ideal.

so entered the hotel and reception was unmanned. nobody to be seen and waited a few minutes before i started walking around looking for someone. i found a woman sat in the communal area on her phone with no shoes on, she didnt aknowledge me so I just assumed she was a guest. i went back to reception, they had free coffee so we helped ourselves. eventually the lady in the communal room came to us and to my suprise she was the receptionist. i think maybe to engrossed in her phone. whilst checking in she took a short personal call, which irked me considering we were waiting. other than that she was very friendly and nice. our hotel advertised itself as "self catering" but there is no way you could cook anything in the kitchen in your room and find it odd that anyone would. no hair dryer, no iron but they have these behind reception. positives are the room is big, bed is comfy although the tog of the duvet was too thick for summer. hotel itself is clean and well presented just a little odd.

Stayed one night for my husband's birthday trip to Looe. Room and bathroom were basic but very clean, staff very friendly and welcoming and the view was amazing. We were lucky to have a room with a balcony and a Seaview which was perfect for a little relaxing afternoon after a serious lunch. The hotel does not have a restaurant but the little kitchenette is a wonderful addition to the room. Hubby left with a little present due to his birthday. We will definitely go back when we are in the area again.

Lovely comfortable stay, everything is clean and fresh as the hotel has just been renovated. Great beds and fridge and hob in the room. We were staying with 2 older children who had their own room, so we found the lounge and dining area great for hanging out together. Kelly the hotel manager was very friendly and helpful. Great walks along the coast only a few minutes away with views of Looe Island. Steep but scenic walk down footpaths into West Looe for convenient store, pub, cafe etc.

This is not really a hotel. More like a bed & breakfast style accommodation. We paid £150 per night for 3 nights, booking in January, based on Trip Advisor reviews (fairly good at the time) and their own website. Photos are not representative of the reality. We had to walk up two flights of stairs with our luggage (no lift), no wardrobe, no hair dryer, no safe, no bar, no reception after 21:00, and reception not manned for long periods during the day. The balcony, much lauded on their website, was effectively shared with all other residents as there was no screen between balconies (see photo) and other residents could see into our room. We had booked for 3 nights, but on arrival (around 17:00) we immediately rejected the accommodation, but at that time we had to stay 2 nights as we could only reorganise accommodation for our third night, so we said we would just cancel the third night and asked for £150 to be returned. This refund was refused. Possibly because we had complained, or maybe that’s normal, our room was not cleaned on the second day and our towels were not changed, nor was the bed made, all things you would expect of a “hotel”. We are now claiming back £150 through our credit card company via chargeback, something the owner seemed familiar with when we complained. We will go to court if necessary to get our money back.

The hotel itself was lovely, and the view from the Lounge/Breakfast room was wirth the money alone. However, once i arrived and booked in and was shown to my room, the key code didn't work and the receptionist had to let me into the room, twice, when i came back with my luggage. Once i was in the room (i booked the single room) i discovered there was no wardrobe space. The two bedside cabinets had a couple of drawers to put bits in, but there was nowhere to hang anything! Something to be aware of if youre travelling alone. Having said all that, i did like the hotel, and the staff were very friendly, they did sort out my key code in the end. If youre going to stay, i would recommend paying the extra for a larger room, which hopefully do have wardrobes.
