The Hannafore Point Hotel

Recent adverse comments resonate with us. Room was OK but not really disabled friendly with a small number of steps from lift. (This was not requested but is an observation). room adequate for a couple of nights clean as was the bathroom with towels changed daily. The restaurant meals were variable in the Bistro on the first night the sea Bass was good but pork was said by two people to be very tough. In the restaurant on the second night the chicken was like rock confirmed by three guests. the hotel is in a good elevated position with estuary views to town and beyond. A decent terrace for drinks snacks accessed from the Bistro is good for a coffee and tea cake or drink from the bar. Tea Cakes were 50% hard! We did not use the Spa. Generally the hotel is underperforming especially in the meal quality because the meals appear to be inconsistent. Parking can be difficult as it is on street with a voucher from reception. Ther is a lift from street level accessed by a short ramp. More three star than five.

Probably the worst place I've been into, lazy staff show no motivation to serve or clear tables, far more interested in chatting behind the untidy bar. Tables left uncleared despite staff walking past to eventually deliver an order. Staff training desperately needed here!

My husband and I stayed here for one night whilst hiking the SWCP. Receptionist was kind and cheerful. Our room was clean and had nice linens. Our balcony/ sliding door looked right out onto the sea. Dinner was nice and breakfast was complete and delicious.

Excellent all round hotel. Fabulous position to wander into Looe. Staff very professional, hard working and seemed happy to be a part of the team. Manager must be very proud of them. He went the extra mile to ensure all dining requirements and food restrictions for some diners were accommodated without question or need to be reminded. Coach parties are often treated differently to other guests but not at this hotel. Food and service were top quality and generous portions. I could not suggest any ‘room for improvement’ and look forward to our next visit.

My wife and I stayed on the 10th of March for 2 nights for my wifes' 60th birthday. What a fantastic stay. The staff are unbelievable. We cannot speak highly enough of them. We have been in the hotel many times, just for coffee and always dreamed of staying there. So for this birthday we did. From the moment we walked in to check in to the moment we checked out and beyond, the level of service was top class. I would recommend 100% on booking to stay here. The service, the food and everything else, was just perfect. Thank you.
