Shanglou Chinese Inn (Tulou King Scenic Area Chengqi Building)

For those visiting and needing accommodation, it's recommended to book a room to experience life in the Tulou and take photos. 1. Accommodation allows free access to the Tulou. 2. Guests can freely move between floors 2-4 in the guesthouse's area and find various angles for photos. (It can be a bit noisy in the mornings, as tourists start taking photos around 8 AM.) 3. This is a neutral review; consider avoiding it if you prefer. The bathroom is in the common area on the first floor, and the toilet is similar to a chamber pot. There's no air conditioning but a fan, so it won't be hot at night.

To mark the end of our Fujian trip, we chose to spend a wonderful night inside a national key cultural relics protection unit with a 400-year history, immersing ourselves in the life of the Hakka indigenous people. The owner was incredibly hospitable, driving us directly to the entrance of the Tulou and vividly explaining the history of the "King of Tulous." Although the rooms were basic, they were clean, tidy, and fully equipped. There was a shower downstairs, and it wasn't hot at night. The only regret was that the red lanterns had already been extinguished when we returned from dinner, so we missed the most beautiful night view.
