When booking on the platform, there was a ”free upgrade” offer. Although the room we booked was nice, I was really looking forward to it. However, when I got to the front desk, they said our room was already luxurious and there were no upgrades... I actually believed them and thought I'd splurged on a fantastic room. Then I got a room card for the third floor, the lowest floor. I called later and they said the upgrade would be to the seventh floor, which was about the same... The view from a floor is sometimes worth the price, okay? But with kids, I didn't bother. The room had a strong smell, so I had to keep the window open, which gave me a sore throat at night. Thankfully, the hot springs were nice, and the breakfast was plentiful. The bedding was also comfortable. The room was spacious enough, but the private bathtub was located inside the room, so be careful not to slip when soaking.
