Booked as Premier Inn was fully booked. This establishment was more expensive, the staff were friendly but the room was horrible. We had to navigate past bags of dirty laundry to access the room. The room was shabby and tired which if clean would not have been an issue. It had not been cleaned, the pillows were stained and had no protective covers, they also smelled bad and the curtains didn't cover the windows. The bathroom floor was slimy and the bathroom smelled of damp and cigarette smoke and didn't feel clean. We slept in our clothes and cut our stay short.

It was one of the worst choices I have made, having thinking of trying the Longforgan coaching Inn for some time - once checked in it was dire, stairs going to the room looked like it hadn’t been cleaned, room was very dated and looked like it not been cleaned. So after giving the food a try which was a big mistake. This was the only time I have ever walked out of an accommodation without staying the night I booked!? I’ve been trying to get a refund since I didn’t actually stay the night I booked thus having to get another accommodation at short notice! Very disappointing! 😢😢😢😢

The room was clean and that is the only good comment. The state of the bathroom was shocking. Exposed wires, ancient fittings,the tap fell off. The curtains don’t cover the windows. Every sound made in the room above sounded like it was in the room with you! The most basic room I’ve ever been in.

We arrived and attempted to check in at the bar , I said hello I’m here to check in and the man said ‘wait’ and disappeared, never came back. However another member of staff appeared out of the kitchen and he was lovely , booked us in and took us to the room. Bearing in mind this was way after check in time he still had to move a big load of dirty laundry out the way so we could get in. The best thing I can say about the room is the beds were comfortable and the bedding and towels looked and smelt clean. It was an accessible room and one of the twin beds was electric. The carpet is a disaster , no underlay , very old and didn’t fit well, the room just looked really tired and unclean, there’s no wardrobe just an industrial looking metal fixture with rusty baskets , once the window was opened we couldn’t get it closed again. The bathroom is a wet room but is tired and dirty looking with exposed wiring and a tap whose top kept falling off . There is so much accommodation available around this Dundee area and the price we paid for this stay did not reflect the room at all . Way overpriced . The food states ‘chef ‘ this and ‘chef’ that but is very basic wouldn’t recommend

The rooms are very dated. Could do with a complete makeover. Furniture was very old and needs replacing. Was suitable for us for one night with our 2 dogs as rooms are quite large. Staff were very friendly. Nice village and good walking route for dogs.

The Team I have to say were absolutely lovely and welcoming, but the rooms were well in need of updating, carpets and curtains shabby, the toilet seat unstable, I went to make a drink and the cup was filthy, the shower was very weak and consistently Went from hot to cold. On the last night the hearing broke down and we slept with an extra layer on and coats on the bed as we could not get ahold of anyone for extra blankets etc, when I brought this to the landlords attemtion he did not offer any apology or discount. I have read the other comments and cannot understand for the life of me how they could say the rooms were clean! We were a large group and everyone had the same complaints. Breakfast was sufficient but meats and bread could have been of higher standard, we will not be staying there again. Don’t be fooled by friendly warm welcome it makes it harder to make a complaint and say how you really feel.

There was 4 adults and one wee nipper in pram. Like stepping back in time. Pretty basic inside but a warm welcome from bar staff. Lounge was clean enough and quiet when we went in. Bar staff put footie on TV with background music so family catered for. Range of beers and prices reasonable. Food was great - decent portions and very tasty. Got a discount - thanks. Although we do not live there will be back for a meal. Especially if offering discounts in coming weeks.
