Booked a twin bed guesthouse but staff seemed totally unaware of my booking details and directed me to a double room within the hotel. This is not the first time - previously booked a room with a river view but was offered a room overlooking the back of the hotel. It's a nice hotel but they need to get their act together!

I've just come home from 2 nights at Keenans with my husband and my brother in-law and his wife. We had such a wonderful experience. It was brilliant. We were welcomed with friendly smiles even though we arrived at peak lunch service and they were all extremely busy. Our rooms were fabulous. A beautiful view over the Shannon and elegantly decorated. We couldn't ask for more. The breakfasts are so very tasty with a fantastic array to choose from. There was something for everyone and wonderful service. We ate there both evenings and were taken care of by Georgia and Isaac. They were so helpful, courteous and friendly. I can't recommend Keenans enough. We left there feeling totally recharge and can't wait to go back .

Sympathique hôtel pour une étape au coeur de l’Irlande. Jolie vue sur la rivière. Personnel professionnel et accueillant. Chambre spacieuse et très propre; Seul point à améliorer : la literie vieillissante (on sent les ressorts du matelas !!)

Keenan’s is the best place to stay in the area by far, or if you prefer self-catering in the marina homes behind it. Great atmosphere, and really well trained staff add to the stay. Food can be excellent or average depending on choice but it doesn’t seem to matter. Breakfast though is consistently brilliant

We had a lovely one night stay in Keenans. The room was lovely, very well furnished with a modern bathroom. We had dinner in the bar which was great, staff were friendly & attentive but not intrusive. Breakfast is served in an airy room with a wide range of options including a freshly cooked hot breakfast. It's not common for breakfast to be freshly cooked in hotels now so this was a lovely treat. We will definitely stay again.

We have stayed here a couple of times now and always found everyone to be friendly and helpful each time. We had a room looking over the river away from the main road which is pleasant in the mornings. There is plenty of tea and coffee in the room even if the biscuits are not there. The breakfast room is just a short walk from the room and the breakfast is grand, you have a wide choice from full Irish to cearal with plenty of tea or coffee.

This was a very nice hotel to stay in and the rooms had nice views of the Shannon. They were very well decorated and I really loved the headboard of the bed. The toiletries were very nice too. The food was very good as well. The staff were very efficient at checking in and just in general were very helpful.

Excellent room with lovely views of the river.The bedroom was modern and of a high quality.The breakfast was freshly cooked and was delicious..The adjoining bar and restuarant served great food .Overall we had a wonderful stay for 3 nights
