Great stay at palm bay resort, stayed in the 2 bedroom ocean view house which was excellent. Very spacious with great views. Would highly recommend. Enjoyed lazing by the pool and if wanting a quiet relaxing stay would definitely recommend. Want sure how was going to cope withou t tv but the internet service through phone was no worries.

The resort on Long Island has a good environment, is quiet and romantic, and has less than 20 cabins on the island. It provides free water activities, including kayak, snorkel dive, and swimming pool. Transportation requires taking a water taxi. There is only one speedboat service from Hamilton Island. The price is expensive, but the time is relatively controllable. From Airlie Beach, you can take a water shuttle. The time is fixed and the price is cheaper first. The hotel's hygiene is okay, but because it is completely dependent on the island's ecological environment, it is relatively not modern enough. The facilities are relatively basic, and there is no hot water and wifi.

Palm Bay Resort was a great choice for myself and a couple of friends looking to escape the winter chill and spend time catching up. The bungalows are well appointed and very comfortable with lovely views of the bay. The facilities are very good - including a beautiful pool, lovely swimming bay, beautiful tropical gardens, spacious restaurant area and a relaxing beachfront sunset bar. The resort is well designed and spaced so guests can relax and not feel crowded. The staff at Palm Bay were great - young people from all over the world. They were unfailingly friendly and cheerful - nothing was too much trouble. A real asset to the resort, along with managers Teegan & Dylan. A special shout out too to Vicki for the lovely massage.

This is exactly where you want to go if you want to lie by the pool, eat wonderful food, enjoy beautiful surroundings and deeply relax. We actually both shed a tear after 5 days at this resort celebrating our anniversary. The difference that this resort has over others is that the staff live here - so they really treat it as their home. You see this in how they treat the guests and the resort itself. The environment is a mix of NZ's Marlborough Sounds with Asian influence. Our stay was exceptional. We had enjoyed a few nights at Airlie Beach where we Ocean Raftings brilliant snorkel trip and scenic flight, so we were ready to just do nothing for a few days after those adventures. We will definitely be returning and hope to make it an annual treat.

Such a tranquil beautiful resort in amongst stunning rainforest national parks. Island transfer options are limited and can add significant costs depending on mode of transport. No shops o n island so make sure to take adequate supplies of snacks etc with you.

We had a wonderful stay at Palm Bay Resort. The staff is caring and friendly, the bungalows are right in front of the beach and the resort offers all sorts of activities (kayaks, snorkeling gear). There is a quiet and restful atmosphere which makes you definitely feel in holidays. We look forward to our next visit to Long Island!

Beautiful quite serene island away from the hustle and bustle of city. A bit of challenge to reach the place so one needs to do a bit of research to reach there. If possible avoid private transfers, its damm cosly. Overall its a fantastic place to stay.
