Homewood Suites by Hilton Long Beach Airport

Disappointed to pay $400 a night for a room here and be told that the room is serviced only if requested the day prior. Can’t check in with the app - it doesn’t work with keyless access either. Told I should have been texted when room was ready. I was not. App has a chat feature but it’s all AI (the cheap, unhelpful kind). I did receive two texts from two different “employees” asking how I liked my room but that appeared to be AI as well. Hilton is raising prices and reducing service. It was a mistake to stay here. My third trip. There won’t be a fourth.

Six people / two night stay. This location is convenient, nice and clean. There is food and shopping within walking distance. The staff was friendly and helpful. Plenty of parking. There are four charging stations for ev/hybrid vehicles. The room was clean. All six of us were comfortable with plenty of places to sleep. I would stay here again when visiting Long Beach.

We had a family trip and stayed here for 7 nights as friends live in long beach. Location was great. Very close to shops and restaurants and freeway. Family of 5 so was 2 queen beds and sofa bed . My eldest daughter found the sofa bed uncomfortable so put younger child in it and she was grand. I would suggest only use for young child though. Bathroom door has a weird set up where it opens to the sink/vanity area so with 4 girls, this was a problem as waredrobe was there also and kept banging off each other. We never seemed to get enough towels for 5 of us. I had to ask for extras and towels are supplied at the pool so had to take these also. We had some of our own but daily towels would have been great as large family. Breakfast was good. Waffles/oancakes, bbq chicken, scrambled eggs, juice, cereal and coffee/tea etc. I would have liked go see more linked sausage or fried/poached eggs and change in hot food every day and 2nd day but breakfast was well stocked and helpful staff. Staff was very friendly. Dana and teliha (hope I got names correct) were very helpful when our rented car would not start and got us jump leads to start the car. Big thanks to them both. Pool was great and towels on each bed every morning with spare towels also. Hot tub was lovely also. Lovely atmosphere around the pool and plenty of breakout spaces to sit and relax. Chess game for kids also. Only thing I missed was a poolside bar. But you could bring your own nibbles/beer etc to pool area. It does close at 10 including breakout areas which was a pity as myself and husband liked to have a drink and unwind and found area in foyer to cold and bright. We usually sat on the sofas in front of hotel which worked out well. WiFi no issues whatsoever. They have a little stock room also for food and drinks. Gym also and laundry. I loved my time here for my trip and would return no problem and would highly recommend

Such a beautiful hotel…ruined by horrible WiFi. Every ten minutes we’d get kicked off the WiFi and have to rejoin it. No notice, no indication, the internet just stopped working EXACTLY ten minutes…every time!!! When we told the front desk, they weren’t surprised and offer no solutions. Sorry, in today’s day and age, we can’t stay at hotels where we can’t stay connected and do work from the hotel room.

The positive parts of this hotel are its location and spacious rooms. The only issue with the room is that the beds should be on the opposite wall. The bathroom has an open sink area and a motion sensor light in the toilet area, so if you go in the middle of the night, the light comes on in the face of with whomever you are sharing the room. The negatives are too numerous to recommend to anyone else to stay here. First, we were woken up in the morning to jackhammers removing the plaster from the pool. We were given no notice that the pool would be closed or of the morning jackhammer song! Staff’s response was “sorry.” The ice machine and the door to the laundry room didn’t work and each time the response was “we’re working on it.” For the ice, we were told to report to the front desk to fetch it! Lastly, the breakfast was either room temperature or down right cold! Go next door and stay at the Courtyard.

This was a great hotel with comfortable bed, great breakfast and good amenities. It was so close to shopping and 'The Hanger' for food and fun. Just had a problem getting the shuttle from the airport to the hotel since they were short staffed and we waited over 45 minutes! We would still go back there next time we're in Long Beach.

Very disappointed with Hilton and this location for Homewood Suites. First Impression of the hotel was not good as no disabled parking spots were available after checking in. The room was quite disappointing, as the sofa was in need of a thorough cleaning or replacement. We could not sit on it as large white stains on it. So we used a sheet to place over it. Bathroom was not up to Hilton standards as there appeared to be mildew/rusting color along the outside bottom of the tub. We encounters a major issue with the shower head as was broken and spraying water everywhere in the bathroom despite having the shower curtain closed. After the incident occurred we called the front desk and an engineer was sent to the room. He was basically saying was our fault for not pointing the shower head in the right direction. After supposedly fixing it he left and my sister with spina bifida attempted to shower but with same problem. Her AFO braces were soaked. Called front desk again and engineer came back and indicated shower head needed to be replaced but would take 30 minutes. We did not have time and my mother passed on showering do to time constraints and the flooding issue. Upon checkout spoke with Manager on duty who was not very empathetic and basically said it was our fault for not pointing the shower head in the right direction. This was not the case and I am very disappointed with Hilton. This most likely are last time with Hilton. Not that they care but a 20+ year honors member. Hilton was always are first choice but no longer will be.

Great room, fully equipped for a short stay, quiet and clean. Friendly, responsive staff. Well located for our purposes. Airport shuttle was quick and helpful. Parking is extra. Breakfast was below par for "included breakfast" at other properties we have stayed at. Would not return, due to poor breakfast quality.
