Bishop's Gate Hotel

If you want to feel important and valued, this is your hotel. I don't know who trains the staff, but whoever it is isn't paid enough. The accommodations, food and drink were all top shelf. If we're ever anywhere near Derry, we'll be staying here, which is why this was our hotel for the Open Championship this year.

Bishops Gate is superb, from the ambience, to the top class quality of the food, staff friendliness, hotel decor, cleanliness. We enjoyed yet another fantastic stay and will look forward to returning.

We have stayed in Bishopsgate Hotel several times before and it never fails to disappoint. From entering the hotel until you leave, it is an extra special experience. The staff, rooms, food and ambience are all exceptional. Staff are trained to the highest standard and nothing is too much trouble. Thank you everyone for making our latest stay so special

Such a welcoming place - we were warmly welcomed when we arrived. The staff held our bags as our room was not yet ready, and invited us to relax in the bar/restaurant while they completed the room preparation. They came to get us once our room was ready and the bags had already been delivered to our room. The front desk staff provided some recommendations and tips for seeing the city. The room itself was very large - comfortable bed and small sitting area. There didn't seem to be air conditioning, but it was not an issue at all. Even in mid July, the weather was cool and we were able to open the windows - this coming from a couple who keeps our AC at 65F during the summer and we were plenty cool! The breakfast was included in our room rate and was delicious. A small cold buffet with a nice menu of hot items prepared to order. We had oatmeal (porridge) and eggs. While we ate breakfast, the staff pulled up our car and loaded our bags and gave us a warm farewell. The location of the hotel was great - near the city walls and very walkable to all the major sites. Would absolutely return and recommend to anyone visiting Derry.

The happy, helpful, welcoming staff couldn’t do enough for us. The room was spacious and very comfortable. I’d most certainly recommend staying and dining here.

Lovely boutique hotel right in the centre of Derry. Good restaurant. Charming delightful staff, all very helpful. Patrick looked after our car and bags with great efficiency. Robyn at reception has an award for best receptionist and certainly more than lives up to this! I left my phone and iPad chargers in the hotel - she kindly posted them to our next hotel. A million thanks!
