When checking in the lady was cold and unpleasant Informed me that there was £14 a night charge for parking which I thought was ridiculous. There is works going on in the main floor of the hotel which was aware before booking but I was on the fifth floor and was still awaken to drilling at 8.30. The room was tired looking and there was no plug sockets by the bed. Wouldn’t recommend here the only good thing about the hotel is it’s location

My sister's and I stayed two nights in two twin rooms beside each other We asked if the door could be opened between rooms but it was not possible? The room where lovely and freshly decorated and two great big beds ,walk in shower all first class. I asked about a complimentary drink because of the whole refurb working going on ( it was stated in another review the hotel was doing this) The man at reception said to ask at bar, so that evening we asked at bar to be told "we don't do that" in a very abrupt manor. Breakfast was good some of the food sitting about a while , service on the first morning from Gary and Shania was great two very attentive staff members.2nd morning not as good . We did not eat in restaurant in evening. Hopefully when hotel is completely refurbished it will be great . Would have been nice to know before we went about the building work and entrance to hotel etc and email would have covered this . If we are in the area again we shall return.
