I lost my my valuable backpack in the outside restaurant, but I didn't realize it and misunder stood it was lost in Holiday inn Bloomsbury London. Hotel manager Mr. Lopes helped me to get what happened through CCTV. Further, he consoled me when I was scared and depressed. I found my backpack finally, thank Mr.Lopes and all his staff on duty on 08Feb2025. Thank you very much, I will stay at this hotel in London next time.
From its location and the comfort of the building's exterior to the staff's service attitude, everything scores top marks! Although the hotel's buffet breakfast doesn't offer a wide variety, the quality is excellent, and it was a very comfortable dining experience, with the waitstaff being very attentive! Additionally, the service received at the hotel's main entrance and the exceptional care taken by the staff in handling our heavy luggage during checkout, ensuring it was transported downstairs to the taxi, was commendable. These experiences definitely make us want to return!
Bedford hotel is extremely centric and allows you to go to main amenities and shopping area by walking distance. This is a huge plus in London for a reasonable price per night. The room is small, but it has everything you need and is very clean. I think that is why they can offer competitive prices within the heart of London. The breakfast is very good too with quality product. Even the coffee machine (which are typically terrible) produced a fairly good flat white. So all in all I would strongly recommend it for both business and leisure purposes.

First of all, the location is good.
It's right next to the British Museum, so you can get there without getting lost.
It's easy to get to anywhere, so it's very convenient.
If you need anything, the owner or guest services will respond immediately.
The room was cleaned properly, and the kitchen was equipped with everything you need. There were new sponges for washing dishes.
Of course, there was detergent too.
I didn't know how to use the washing machine, but I managed to find it by looking at the washing machine's website.
It said that there was detergent, but I didn't know where it was, so I brought my own.
The shower was also clean.
There were basic amenities.
I liked that there were enough towels for the number of people and the number of days we were staying.
My family who went with me liked the heated floor in the bathroom.
I'd like to use it again if I visit London again.
Excellent location but only thing is that we were first assigned to a room that already have guests there.
Also on the last day, cleaning lady suddenly opened our door with a master key at 830am which needs some improvements.
Ideal location for sightseeing in a London . One stop from Kings Cross Station. Hotel is large but extremely well run. Immaculately clean in all areas. Breakfast buffet was busy but exceptionally well staffed to ensure efficient service. Variety of food and drinks were above our expectations. We ate and drank in the London Pub, part of the Hotel and good and drink there was of a good standard. Bedrooms were bigger than expected and very clean. Air conditioning would have made them excellent. Highly recommended .
Ideal location for piccadilly tube line and train stations, huge self-service breakfast selection, friendly and helpful staff members, lovely cosy bed and modern shower room with good water pressure, the only downside is the hotel rooms are only single glazed and sadly our room was just above a very loud outside ventilation system, this would be fine if you like white noise but not ideal for light sleepers like myself, we will ask for a room at the front of the hotel in future.
Overall, I had a good experience with the service and location. Although I had to request a room change due to noise, it was handled smoothly. The male staff member was extremely helpful when I lost my charger in the previous room, which I truly appreciated. However, my main concern was the female front desk staff member who assisted me at check-in. From the start, she was unexpectedly rude during our interaction, yet she was noticeably warm and welcoming to the next customer, even apologizing for keeping them waiting. This stark contrast in treatment left me puzzled and wondering whether guests are treated differently based on certain factors, such as ethnicity. I hope the management ensures consistent and professional service for all guests moving forward.
Clean but a very small hotel. Concierge was helpful.
There are a few steps at the entrance without ramp or wheelchair access.
Located just right around the university.
Overall, my stay was quite good. The room was comfortable and the amenities met my expectations. The staff was friendly and accommodating, which enhanced the experience. However, I did find it a bit noisy at times due to the sound of cars passing by, which was audible from the room. This minor inconvenience slightly affected the otherwise pleasant stay. Some soundproofing or noise-reducing measures would greatly improve the overall experience.

CcecilezxefThe actual room is slightly smaller than the picture, and the two people live in a compact room. In addition, the internal environment is clean and tidy, the facilities are complete, and the reception staff are warm and friendly. Equipped with elevator and laundry room, very friendly to tourists who need to wash clothes. The location is excellent, six or seven minutes walk from the British Museum, there are many restaurants around, there is a 24-hour supermarket, the subway station is just around the corner downstairs, very convenient. In addition, because it is located in the downtown area and facing the street, there will be noise at night, depending on the degree of personal acceptance.
GGuest UserSmall space, bed too big, large suitcase can not open, walking turn can only one person, single travelers can, hotel no kettle need to bring their own, to the ground floor to get water to drink, location super close to the train station, stay one night can, staff is very good, breakfast very cheap good, recommended hotel eat
GGuest UserDoubletree Hilton is always my go-to and having saved more money via trip and Hilton not price matching, i was worried I would not get my Hilton benefits. However, I was able to choose my room to check in as per, however Hilton seems to have a habit now of when you arrive finding out room has been changed and they apparently upgrading you but it's not actual upgrade! I was given choice of 2 rooms eventually and still pleased with it, Nice view, although a tad noisy on 5th floor facing the main road. Ample space, comfy bed, good size bathroom. Breakfast was actually one of the nicest I've had in a hotel in a long time. Front desk was very helpful and easy to deal with. Bar allowed me to get ice and water to take to my room. Location was spot on with access to tube and buses. Would definitely recommend and would stay again.
AAnonymous UserWhen comrades check in, they will tell the front desk reception.I prefer to stay in a room with GOOD LAYOUT AND WINDOW VIEW. first.
Or GOOD LAYOUT, GOOD WINDOW VIEW.
Give me a special room, outside the window is the building, the bathroom is in a corner. I asked to change the room and change to a normal layout of the road, two windows of the room. The first floor is cold, if you can carry luggage, ask for the location upstairs. The first floor is breakfast, you have to find the waiter order to order.
btw location is very good, it is very convenient to go to the British Museum, walk for five minutes, various cafes nearby
LLeeOriginally booked to walk after lunch at the British Museum at 12:15
Then return to the hotel to renew the rent for one night
On January 9th, I was shot when I left the door at about 10:28 minutes
At the hotel door about walking less than ten steps from the clothes to shoot away
I hang around my neck with a neck almost some sections 😱 can not catch up ”Poor security at night dangerous
Fortunately, after having another phone with me, I found a British friend to help me
online security police” police asked the hotel if there was a cctv outside only inside the hotel
No hotel staff outside said no” it’s best to return to the hotel after seeing the British Museum
Take a break to recharge and check out early feel unsafe and end up having your phone stolen and end up in this location once and then never again
I want to keep the hotel bed very comfortable
The breakfast service staff was great
Also the bathroom water is hot ”hand sanitizer smells good”.
GGuest UserGood: breakfast with fresh fruits, veg, yoghurt, boiled eggs, salami, bread, pastries and wide choices of cereals and tea. Spacious room, helpful and friendly staff. Coffee and tea in room with an electric water kettle
Bad: toilet super small. Hard to sit on the toilet bowl or turn around in the shower area. Shower area has been broken and water splashed out . Radiator frequently sounded like someone's drilling on the wall, so we stopped it and room could not be heated up
We booked for a double room but stayed in a family room, so the room is spacious but the toilet seems far much smaller than the one we saw in the photo of the double room
XXiaoliThe surrounding subway stations, supermarkets, bars and visits are very convenient. I often introduce colleagues who are on a business trip to this hotel. If you book in advance, the price is reasonable.
GGuest UserThis is my second time staying at this hotel. The location is convenient, the environment is good, the room facilities are clean and tidy, the area is not too small, and the breakfast is good, but it is the same every day. Cleaning needs to be requested from the front desk. I requested room cleaning three times in seven nights and changed the bed sheets once, but it was rejected because they would not change them if they were not dirty. Finally, they changed the pillowcases after insisting.
GGuest UserCheck in was okay. There is only one lift in the hotel which causes a lot of delay in getting to reception and the rooms. The underground hallways to the room and very narrow and dark and have a damp smell which is quite unpleasant or difficult to navigate as the the signage can be confusing to follow. Once you reach the rooms or ‘cocoon’ they are extremely clean and aesthetically pleasing with amazing moonlighting. The bed is large and there is a big mirror in the room and bathroom. Not much privacy if you’re sharing with friends as the bathroom is only separated by frosted glass. Overall an okay stay for a quick rest
