Nox Olympia

Stayed here for a weekend at the end of june, after waking up at 5am to sun blasting through the room which put a damper on the day going round london. The blind in the room was only a thin one which let all the light in not like the blackout blinds or curtains on all the pictures/as advertised. We asked for a room change with one with proper/blinds curtains with reception, we were told the hotel was full but maintenance would check it out the next day. We contacted the support number to chase this formally & further and was just messaged by "ok" when we explained the problem. I would say this isn't an acceptable response ... "sorry .. (anything)" would have been better ... After a second night being woken up at 5am and a day in london we returned at 2pm to find the same blind on. We asked to speak to management but told they were busy, and we couldn't contact or speak to them, but we were moved to another another room, in which the blackout blinds were on ... but the lights didn't work. We told reception and they said maintenance would check it out the next day (after we had gone) We rang a help number we found to try contact management which may have been the Kensington Nox, where we were told they wouldn't let us contact management as it was the weekend, and wouldn't take any comment or complaint in any other way. So what could have been a minor problem to be solved became a massive headache chasing down rectification or a single manager to even explain what was happening from here. Which after several attempts we still haven't heard a peep from. Aside from that the furnishings are very nice although done to a shoddy quality. The hotel has had money thrown at it but executed poorly The 2nd room had all main lights not working, pencil marks & holes in bathroom tiles from mounting lights & radiator, silicone up the whole side of the door, as well as the tap was loose, cupboard had been installed with manufacturer marks on, and the shower tray has been installed wobbly. So in summary, nice furnishings but shoddy install, and staff that wont let you speak to the management even when the lights won't turn on.

I recently stayed at Nox Olympia, I am disappointed to share that my experience did not meet expectations. Upon arrival, we found out that our room was not equipped with blackout blinds, they only had see-through blinds, which made it impossible to sleep. We were told maintenance would come to look at the blonds but never did so we had to put towel up for the next night to try block out the light, as you can see this did not work. Additionally, when I raised this concern, it took 24 hours for any response from the staff, or get any sort of apology which felt inadequate and frustrating. Thankfully, we were able to switch to another room on the final night. However, that room had its own issues—specifically, the lights did not work, making it difficult for us to get ready for our night out. To make matters worse, we found that the pillows in our original room were dirty, which is unacceptable for any hotel. Given the numerous inconveniences, including poor communication and inadequate room conditions, I would not recommend this hotel.

Avoid this scam hotel at all costs. I can't believe this place is still allowed to operate after wrongfully scamming people out of their deposits. The staff are rude and aggressive. The manager is the worst kind of human. It's clear they hate children staying at their hotel. Anytime they receive negative feedback, they respond in the most childish and petulant way. The location is rubbish, the hotel is basic at best and your money would be better spent absolutely anywhere else. They will cancel your reservation if you show any signs of unhappiness with their service. They won't hear any kind of complaint. They can do no wrong in their eyes, but as you'll see from other terrible reviews they get, there clearly is a problem with this establishment.

The place is totally different from the photos. There were many things broken. They dont have accessibility, the cleaning is bad, every day needed to ask for something, we didnt notice that they dont have people working at night, it was bad because we forgot the password to get in the hotel, just the location is very good.

I was in this hotel for 1 week with my girlfriend and this was probably the one worst hotel experience I've ever had in my life. We were two of us and the room was small enough to take your breath away. The bathroom was never cleaned even once during our stay, never seen a thing like this (without forgetting the hair found as soon as we entered the room when we checked in and a long spider web dangling by the ceiling). One day we’ve been left without clean towels and we had to ask for them + additional bath soap. The staff in general took a lot of time to reply to requests. I would add, for those wishing to stay in this hotel, that the area is central but poorly served by the Tube. Kensington Olympia is not well connected with the main underground lines. You will find a better accomodation at a cheaper price.
