Troy Hotel

The staff in the breakfast room were unfriendly. The food was not good - cold and stale and no variety.

Nice hotel a bit expensive for what you get. Overall, the hotel needs refurbishment plus very important the breakfast staff are rude although, receptionists are great.

Troy hotel was good, but without air condition the room was too hot, difficult to sleep. The breakfast was same every morning, basic one.

Fabulous! For the price; bear in mind that the Troy Hotel is not the Savoy. However in the price range it is very good. Although it is not a hotel for users of wheelchairs. I have mobility issues but I managed and the staff could not have been more accommodating to me; the lift was not working properly on our first night and we were accommodated in an available room, then re accommodated for the rest of our stay in a more suitable room. There is a small fridge in every room which is useful for keeping milk or water cold, like so many other hotels there are never enough of those dreadful little pots of milk, so to be able to keep a couple of pints of milk in the fridge is fabulous. There is a large fridge in the front hall containing chilled bottles of water and the cheapest cans of Coke, Fanta and suchlike anywhere in the whole country let alone London. The Troy is clean and tidy with friendly, helpful staff. Downsides, the breakfasts are basic ‘continental’ type and no other meals are available during the day or in the evening, that we were aware of; eating out is the only choice at nearby restaurants of which there are many. We enjoyed our stay, but due to my personal mobility issues I would try for somewhere with greater access.

Just returned from another excellent stay at the Troy. This is our regular place as it’s always clean friendly and homely. The staff are brilliant and rooms serviced daily. Nothing is too much trouble. Location perfect for the underground and Kensington gardens just a few steps away. Self service buffet breakfast always fresh and good choice. Add excellent value for money and that’s the reason we would never stay anywhere else. Well done Sammi and the team. Hope to see you again soon.
