Wonderful gem. They have a mildew issue on one end of the hotel. They switched my room promptly. And the service was excellent. Beautiful appointment in the room. They do add 15 pounds service charge daily to your bill (optional). A bit weird to not tell people upfront. Because the staff was nice and space very pleasant I paid it. Better to build it in to the price? Or tell one upfront. Would highly recommend and visit again.

If you like a more retro and traditional taste, you can try it
It’s very warm, and some cookies and desserts are given out every day.
The front desk service is also very polite

The Montague was absolutely wonderful in every way. It was beautiful, clean and charming. The staff and the attention to detail exceeded expectations. Will definitely there in my next trip to London.

Amazing staff makes this a little gem. . I have never experienced such warm , welcoming hospitality. The food was great and I loved the small bites with a glass of rose champagne, overlooking the garden. Here, the customers are always right. For some it may need updating, but for me, that was part of the charm, like going back in time. Padded silk walls , old fashioned bathrooms, Pianist wonderful. They can’t do enough. Staff incredibly friendly and proactive. Loved it. Perfect for single holidays. I sat in the bar by myself and chatted to the staff, as did two other women. Worth noting they also have single rooms. Very homely.
