A super boutique hotel in South Kensington. Beautiful rooms, excellent breakfast and even a nice gym. The staff were excellent from start to finish. We had a thoroughly enjoyable stay and so well located. Absoutley recommend.

I am a Melia Rewards member and apart from the lobby, front desk staff, and location which are all great, there is nothing much else good about this hotel. This is more of a 2.5-3 star hotel with a nice lobby. It’s definitely not a 4 star hotel. The room itself is no better than a Hub by Premier Inn room, except with absurdly high prices. If you’re paying more than 200 a night during peak season, it’s not worth it. As noted in other reviews, the rooms are so small and cramped, you can barely walk around the room. The lighting in the room is almost non-existent (just one light on top of the bed), so you can’t get ready in the room when it’s dark outside. The shower temperature doesn’t change - it’s stuck at 38 degrees and because the shower door is only half a door, when you take a shower, the whole bathroom floor gets wet. On top of that, the maid service is lacking. We stayed there for 4 nights. The sheets were not changed once in those 4 nights. The hand soap pump was never refilled during our stay, and we ran out of hand soap, leaving us to wash our hands with shampoo. The room description says there is a turn down service. The maid actually only came once a day to clean the room and do the turn down service at the same time. That meant the curtains were drawn at 3:30pm when it was complete daylight out. The maid service reeks of laziness. There needs to be more supervision and re-training of staff. There are much nicer and cheaper hotels than this in central London. I can’t recommend this one.
