Comfotel Prpl

Perfect location 👌 to stay. Room service 👍 changed towels everyday. We were there for 4 nights but couldn’t sleep for last 2 nights the room above us walking all night 😮💨☹️

stayed here with my friends. was a bit worried because of mixed reviews but had a great stay, the hotel is very well looked after. the staff was great. we checked in slightly early and was given a room straight away. it was a bit hot. the toilet was nice and clean. and the room has all the essentials that were needed. the decor is also nice and really like the grey touch to everything. overall had a great stay and will defi recommend my friends or family who want to come and stay.

The light by the bed was broken, the tap in the toilet was very poorly fitted. Didn't fit the sink and left a hole. The mattress was quite tough and old, you could feel the springs. For a weekend away to have somewhere to stay it was okay, for any longer it feels too tight. The stairs to the rooms are very narrow, not easy to get up and down with any luggage, would be a struggle for anyone with mobility issues. The reception staff where no were to be found when we tried to check out, and then left us waiting in the office with the keys in the lock, not much for security.

Long review, sorry, lots to say. The setup here is slightly odd, not sure if it's permanent or because of renovations. Check in was at the reception for the hotel next door, receptionist was friendly and polite, but no sign of any staff in the building where my room was, which felt a little insecure. 4 short, narrow flights of stairs to the room, which was fine for me with just an overnight bag, but would be awkward with a large case. The room was well equipped, but the shower was stained around the drain hole, with hair in the shower tray, and dust behind the desk where the power sockets are. No plug socket near the kettle, the socket behind the desk was impossible to use, too tight a space to reach down and plug in, so I moved the kettle to the bedside table. Ironing board, but didn't find an iron. Ceiling light switches beside the bed didn't work. I chose this hotel as the cheapest and closest to the venue I was attending, for a one night stay, and for that it was adequate, but the room was too hot with the window closed and too noisy with it open, so not much sleep. Unable to plug in the fan supplied, see above comment about sockets. The bathroom fan was incredibly noisy, so I used the bathroom in the dark during the night to avoid disturbing neighboring rooms. Would not visit again.
