A modern hotel, only a few minutes walk from Aldgate tube. Good views of the city from our room, which was clean with a floor to ceiling window. It was very quiet and the bed was comfortable. The staff were friendly and made us feel very welcome. The room was small but for the price I would definitely recommend this hotel.

As a lone traveller I found the location to be a little intimidating. The rooms are quite dated and limited windows in rooms which makes them warm a little uninviting. Staff were pleasant, couldn’t fault them. As a place to lay your head, it’s ok, but not for any extended period of time.

Hotel in a very convenient location. I was in one of the rooms that overlooked other buildings as opposed to the road, so the volume of traffic doesn’t impact every room. Check in was quick but impersonal. Rooms are a good size, mattress and pillows were to my liking but could be too soft for others. One thing that lets this hotel down is the curtains in the bedroom – something that most hotels don’t seem to get right. They are too short and are not blackout, so on a very sunny Friday morning like today you are going to be woken up as the Sun rises. In addition, there are no USB ports on any of the plug sockets, so very difficult to charge your phone if you only have a USB card.

Diesmal haben wir uns für ein Motel One entschieden als wir in London waren. Wir wurden nicht enttäuscht, auch hier wieder guter deutsche Standard und freundliches Personal. Das gute Frühstück war ein prima Start in den Tag.

Das Hotel liegt nah am Tower und der Tower Bridge. Ausserdem nah drei U Bahn Stationen. Das Personal war freundlich und hilfsbereit. Das Zimmer inkl. Bad war sehr sauber. Sonst alles wie gewohnt in einem Motel One! Am Bett brauchte man bei den Steckdosen auch keinen Adapter! Frühstück war auch gut.
