You know what you are getting. Basic but fine. Location was very good for tube, Covent Garden and theatres. Family room was quite small but ok for a couple of nights. Good breakfast.

A delayed flight at Heathrow caused our plans to change. We decided to visit London and see a show, booked this hotel as it’s very central to the theatres on the day of visit. The price was ok for a last minute booking we booked a super double room. The room is quite small but it was only for a one night stay, bed comfy, bathroom clean, air conditioning. We included breakfast which was ok, good hot breakfast, pastries, fruit, much better coffee than in the room. We have stayed at this hotel twice and it’s priced well for location and convenience. A special thank you to Kevin who works on the bar during the day. We arrived early but the room wasn’t available and needed the toilets which required a room key to get to them. We asked a member of staff who referred us to reception. The reception was busy so we asked Kevin if he could assist, he gave us a key so we could access the toilets. Kevin is the sort of person this industry needs, someone who goes above and beyond the norm…..thanks Kevin let’s hope Travelodge recognise you as a great employee.

I recently stayed in the Drury Lane hotel having previously been there before without problems. However on this occasion the room we were allocated was completely unacceptable. Compared to other rooms it has a very small window that is in the corner of the building and is overshadowed by the wall of the other part of the hotel. Consequently even in daylight there is so little natural light that it's necessary to have all the room lights on. The room number was 153 so it's likely that all rooms in that section of the building (253, 353 etc) will be similarly gloomy. At the very least those rooms should be discounted because of the lack of light.

Found the single bed extremely small in my opinion for an adult. Very uncomfortable couple of nights. Breakfast was good with great selection. Staff were very friendly and helpful.

When we arrived at the hotel, the moment we entered the room, we were hit by a strong smell of wee. The whole room stank – it was absolutely disgusting. We went straight to reception to report it, but were told there were no other rooms available. They said they'd send the cleaners in to give it another clean. So we left for three hours to give them time. When we returned, the room still stank of wee. Nothing had changed. It was an awful night’s sleep – both my wife and I felt sick from the smell. We were really disappointed, and based on this experience, we would definitely not stay at this hotel again.

Travelodge Covent Garden is in a great central location. You can walk to many of London's attractions and if you get tired you are within 300m of Covent Garden or Holbern tube stations. There is a plethora of cafe's, restaurants and bars very close to the hotel and you can easily experience the atmosphere of thsi great city. The staff are very friendly and nothing seems to be too much trouble for them. We would stay again.

Stayed for 2 nights - my first time in London alone!!! The location is convenient and lots of things to do around here. Check in was quick and smooth. Sumaira was helpful at the front desk and gave loads of recommendations for things to do. She also made sure I was put on the highest floor available (9th!!!!) which was really appreciated as I’m a really light sleeper. Check out was also quick too, and I was able to leave bags for a couple hours while I did some more exploring. My stay here has been great, and I will definitely recommend the hotel to friends and family.
