- The hotel room was very, very tiny and could barely fit my boxes
- The bathroom was so tiny that I could not raise my hands or bath without my body touching the walls. Even after I complained and my room was changed, the difference was insignificant
- The room I was given was smelly, especially the bathroom. The sink was so old and broken in some areas
- There are no refrigerators in the room, and they do not help to help cool or warm any meals or drinks
- The air conditioning in the room could not be regulated. There was also no remote. It had to either be off or on, and I had to constantly stand up from the bed to do this. Initially, the temperature was set to be hot, and I was sweating in my room! When I complained, I was told it’s because the hotel was old, and they proceeded to put the temperature on cold permanently
- I was only given a bottle of water on the day of my arrival and was told I could not get more bottles of water from the hotel. Water should be provided every morning
- I was served the same breakfast every day and had to stop having breakfast after the first 3 days as I did not enjoy the meals served. At a point, the eggs served were runny instead of hard boiled, and I could not eat them
- Overall I had a horrible experience there after paying so much. I would definitely not be staying at the Grand Hotel Hyde Park ever again, and I would not recommend it to anyone else
