Ibis Styles London Gloucester Road Reviews

Stayed for 3 nights with my mum in 2 rooms, I requested side by side or same floor rooms when I made the booking 3 months ago, however they put mum on ground floor and me in the basement. My mum’s room was terrible, smelt like damp wet carpet, it was tiny, dark and had no airflow. The bathroom was oddly located outside of the room through another door. My room was opposite a large storage space and next to the breakfast room. The noise from guests in neighbouring rooms, breakfast room in the morning, staff going in and out of store room and the constant sound from underground train every few minutes was quite unbearable. Even though I booked the same room type my room was much larger and better configured than the one my mum got. The place was a maze, the room numbering made no sense and we were forever getting lost. Staff were polite but definitely not service professionals and it was obvious that none of them wanted to be there. The only plus was location location location!!

Convenient transportation, the room is not big but comfortable, the breakfast is good, the service staff are very friendly, I stayed here for 5 nights this time, the experience was very good, I would like to stay here again next time I come to London

The room is clean and the bathroom is large and good. However, the room is a bit small because it is a corner room. However, the location is good. It is very close to the subway station. There are supermarkets and shops nearby, which is very convenient.

It's very close to the subway station. It's convenient to check in. The staff is polite. You can check in only by providing your name and order number. The room is just a little small, but it's comfortable and clean. There are a lot of delicious food nearby. The breakfast is good, not too many styles, but I think it's delicious. I stayed in 3 hotels in London and this one was the most satisfying.

The location of the hotel is very convenient, there are many restaurants and supermarkets nearby! The room I stayed in was a family room, but the hotel bathroom did not have a bathtub, which was not what I expected. Since there is a busy street very close to the hotel, there is occasional traffic noise at night. The hotel room is on the ground floor, which is convenient because there are no stairs, but it doesn't feel like there is enough private space. The hotel staff is very friendly! In summary, there is a gap between price and hotel quality, and there is room for improvement.
