Ivy House Hotel

Awful. A complete mis-sell. Booked the "Deluxe" double .. Two people could not fit comfortably in the room. The bed took up the whole space and was pushed against the wall so you had to crawl across it. The ensuite, well... The covered under my stairs is bigger. It was filthy grimy. I couldn't walk in there. The atmosphere in the room was damp like the sheets were still slightly damp it was just awful. We booked to see a show in the West end that evening and said to one another there's no way we can get ready in this room there wasn't any light and the mirror was being held against the wall by the bed so he couldn't even see in that properly. We left after being there 15 minutes. We told them on reception we couldn't stay there and we put the keys in the box. I had to Google hotels and we ended up staying at Travelodge Fulham which was bright, airy, clean spacious and provided a sigh of relief all for £86. I have emails the hotel twice to request a refund but so far have been ignored. Save your money and pay extra. This place is only best to be avoided

The worst hotel I have ever stayed in. The mattress was sunken and broken with holes in it, carpet was filthy. Water and damp running down the walls, paint peeling off the walls and cracked plaster on the floor. It was so small there was hardly any space to fit a suitcase. I was sent to the basement. In a pokey hole. The only plus side is that the shower was hot. I never tried the breakfast. I didnt even want to bother. I got no sleep for two nights because of the broken bed. My glasses fell down the side of the bed. I put my hand down the side of the bed to get them. A chunk of brown, wet sticky dirt stuck to my hand like poop, from down the side of the bed. Once I fished them out, I ran to the bathroom to scrub my hands. I put up with it, without any complaints, because I was visiting an art school and was only there for two nights. But I left at 6.30am on check out day. Didnt want to stay there another minute. May have to visit London again. But this hotel will not be where I'm staying. Im not putting myself though a hotel like this again. Dont put yourself through this people, you deserve better.

Worst experience of my life, this is a right SCAM. Not only the room "deluxe single room" was SHOKING, dirty, mouldy, the carpet was nasty, the walls crumbling I also found a lovely worm crawling on my bed. Nasty, no one to help no refund offered. £80 a night I could have stayed in a luxury hostel
