The Matahari Inn is definitely long past its prime! It was probably once a very good hotel, but it was simply not maintained and urgently needs a complete renovation! The rooms are large and spacious, and the beds are also pleasantly large. However, you can see in the rooms that nothing has been renovated for a long time! Cracks in the tiles and the cleanliness is also rather below average! But this was still somewhat OK. BUT the bathrooms are an absolute disgrace and it is actually impossible to rent rooms with bathrooms like that! There were 3 couples of us, the same in all 3 rooms! All the fittings were rusty and corroded! In our bathroom the shower holder was broken, so the shower head always had to be held in our hand! There was no soap at the sink, no glasses for the toothbrushes, and there was only one bath towel, no extra towel! There was only one roll of toilet paper in the bathroom, no spare. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful, but it is clear everywhere that the hotel management is absolutely inadequate! When the rooms are "cleaned", only the beds are made, the bathroom is not cleaned at all! At breakfast, the staff have to be repeatedly alerted when something is missing or finished! There were always enough service staff on hand, but no one checked independently whether everything was available. The cups and especially the saucers were also very old and not inviting to drink your coffee from! It is clear everywhere that the staff have not been trained and are not monitored or trained! The junior manager told us that the hotel had been empty for 7 years and you can tell! This hotel has so much potential as it is in an absolutely prime location, but as long as it is managed as it is currently, I can only say, never again!

Small Oasis in the heart of Kuta Lombock. Good location and service. Correct rooms. Laundry and motorcycle rental right here. Very friendly staff.

Aangekomen bij dit hotel. We betalen 75 euro per nacht en het is het geld echt niet waard. Het zwembad ziet er vies en oud uit. De kamer is groot opgezet, maar de bedden zijn ontzettend hard, liggen niet comfortabel. De douche kan vervanging gebruiken is helemaal verkalkt. Ook geen flesjes water op de kamer wat we overal in Indonesië nog gekregen hebben. Gevraagd of we ipv 2 nachten naar 1 nacht konden, maar dit wilden ze niet omboeken. Voor 75 euro vinden wij dit echt niet waard voor je geld.

Pernottato 3 gg. Unica nota positiva il personale cortese. Camera mai rifatta e pulita, mai sostituito i 2 (e unici) asciugamani grandi in dotazione. Camera molto vecchia e trascurata, sporcizia ovunque, priva di uno spazio dove appoggiare le valige, risolto portando in camera il tavolino esterno e utilizzando un comodino. Bagno pietoso con rubinetteria vecchissima e ruggine. Condizionatore funzionante poco e solo con temperatura impostata a 16 gradi. Ventilatore a soffitto ricoperto di sporcizia. Ragnatele sui muri. Tende sporche. Porte fatiscenti. Assenza di sapone, bicchiere, carta igieneca di ricambio in bagno. Asciugamani piccoli inesistenti. Tenda finestra sul punto di crollare. Un disastro totale.
