This was my second time staying at Mara West Camp, and it somehow exceeded my already high expectations. It’s hard to put into words how special this place is. The camp has a relaxed, welcoming atmosphere that makes you feel like part of the family the moment you arrive. The accommodations are stunning, comfortable, clean, and beautifully situated with breathtaking views over the Mara. Every detail feels thoughtful and intentional. The staff were exceptional, warm, attentive, and always willing to go the extra mile. Whether it was a hot cup of tea waiting for us after a game drive or the genuine conversations around the fire, everything felt personal and heartfelt. Mara West strikes the perfect balance between comfort and adventure. It’s peaceful, authentic, and truly unforgettable. I would recommend it to anyone looking for a more meaningful safari experience, and I hope to be back again soon!

My husband and I went to Mara West as part of a mission team and we were thoroughly impressed with the camp. A full-staff greeting started our time in Mara West and the friendliness and warmth of the staff remained throughout the trip. We were provided with top notch accommodations, wonderful meals, treated to traditional Maasai dances, and having zebra, giraffe and impala wandering through the camp on a daily basis was amazing. We were so happy to be able to provide care for the Maasai people during our bush clinics and cannot wait to serve again in the future. Going on safari was amazing with very knowledgeable guides pointing out the wildlife in the Mara and getting to see “the Big 5” was a dream come true. We loved our stay, Mara West and look forward to coming back to visit and serve once again.

This was an experience of a lifetime with the best staff any can ask for. I felt spoiled by their kindness and willingness to accommodate any need, from food, lodging, to transportation. I am thankful to Mara West for an excellent vacation!

I went with a group of about 40 for a mission trip. This was my first trip to Kenya and we stayed at Mara West. What an absolute pleasure. The owners are great, the staff are great and the safaris were wonderful…get Liz if you can. I will definitely stay there again if we go again. Thank you Dustin and Fran for a wonderful experience.

Mara West was an incredible experience! The camp is great whether in the luxurious chalets or the more modest cottages. The staff was so helpful and always prepared for us. They have a private entrance into the Maasai Mara which makes safari days easier. I’ve seen the big five both times I’ve visited with Mara West. What makes this camp even more special is their outstanding commitment to the community. They operate a medical center and help find a local school. We were able to go do a cooking class with the secondary school students. It was a great cultural experience. I highly recommend Mara West.

Mara west is the complete package. They have their own entrance to the game park. Their views are unmatched. The location is prime for the migration. The ownership is kind and extremely involved. Food is pleasant. The lodging unique and very immersed into the environment. However their greatest asset is the team of skilled and accomplished guides. The majority of these massai natives are so passionate in providing the greatest experience. Joseph specifically has won many guide awards, but even Liz, John, and James are top tier. Anyone can drive you in the park but Mara West will navigate you and your family on a "once-in-a-lifetime" experience that is 2nd to none.

Beautiful camp surrounded by nature. Had amazing experiences seeing nature up close. Camp service staff were friendly and accommodating. Food was top-notch and elevated. For the best experience, I recommend staying in one of the many chalets.

I went for a mission trip. It was an amazing experience. I thought it was going to be a once in a lifetime experience, but I’m 90% sure I’ll be doing this again next year. The staff was amazing and food was amazing. It was great to be able to volunteer and help the locals. And I got to see so many animals!!!!

LOVED the staff there. I went with my school for a mission trip in Kenya and best believe I had an AMAZING time. The food was great and the bathrooms had hot water and I love to hang out at the pool while sipping a nice coca-cola. 20/10 would go again !
