We just loved this amazing property in the heart of the Masai Mara National Park. The tents were extremely comfortable and very clean - It had every amenity and the staff were just exceptional. The manager Hillary and his team Helen, Stella, Geoffrey, Monica were just fabulous and took care of us like family. Our safari guide Jackson was extremely knowledgeable, we saw the Big 5 with him and he also organised our picnics like no other!…Thank you for your wonderful hospitality and our memorable stay!

Best staff in the world. Ken, George and all the team made us feel so special and at home. Not to mention our fabulous guide Tom! Lions, cheetah, all the birds we could dream of seeing. The hot air ballon safari was so amazing we did it twice! Thank you for a magical stay, we will be back!

Little Governor’s Camp literally felt like a slice of heaven in the wild. From the pick up at the Musiara Airstrip, the adventurous crossing of River Mara to access the Camp and the welcome to the Camp, one already feels at home and anticipates a good time. The charming welcome note from Hillary (the Camp Manager) and the personalized water bottle are a thoughtful gesture. The food is delicious, organic and fresh and the Chef’s give you a taste of safari through the menu. The rooms are eco-friendly, cozy and warm, with toiletries, a hot and cold shower and they give you a hot water bottle to keep you warm at night. The guides are knowledgeable and will try as much as possible to custom make your game drives according to your preferences. I always appreciate the fact that they ask you what you want to see and they try as much as possible to make it happen, bearing in mind that you are dealing with wild animals who match to the beat of their drum and are excellent at camouflaging. I am particularly grateful that I got to see the Mara from the skies, the hot air balloon is a must and the champagne breakfast in the bush thereafter is once in a lifetime experience. If you want to do a hot air balloon safari (one of the top 8 recommended hot air balloon experiences in the world) I definitely recommend staying at the Little Governor’s as it takes off from Camp so you have an easy time accessing it. The staff are warm but not intrusive and serve with a smile. They are also quite knowledgeable. I’d highly recommend it for solo travelers as I was one and had a jolly great time. I look forward to staying at the Little Governor’s Camp in the coming future.

A classic, authentic, wonderful safari experience. The camp is beautiful . The service and food were excellent. We would come back and recommend Little Governors to our friends. We saw the Big 5 and lots more. Everything was wonderful. We would change nothing. We even had hippo and elephant visitors. We always felt very safe. The staff was incredible.

We stayed at Little Governors for a week, which some people may think is too long but I’d have happily stayed for much longer. After a delay leaving Edinburgh, we were 24 hours late in arriving but it was absolutely worth it. Hillary greeted us on arrival, where we were also give a much needed welcome drink and our Governors Camp water bottle. It was straight to tent number 1 before heading off to meet our guide for the week as we ventured on our first afternoon game drive. We were with Koros for the week and couldn’t have asked for a better guide. We saw everything, including the black rhino and elusive serval cat. . He is so knowledgeable, patient, and great company. I will definitely be asking for him again when we go back. We had Duncan and Felix as our waiters for the week too who were both wonderful and very friendly. Nothing was too much for them. The food was incredible, catering well for both vegetarian and carnivores. I did ask for smaller portions towards the end of the week as I was struggling to eat everything. The choice and quality of the wine on offer was great, the rose wine in particular is delicious. The tent was very comfortable and well equipped. It was Valentine’s Day and my Birthday when we were there, both marked by lovely little gestures including flowers, love heart chocolates, and a cake for my 40th. We also had a massage, which was lovely even if the warthogs were having a noisy squabble nearby but it’s all part of the experience! You can safari on both sides of the river, which gives you plenty options and area for finding wildlife. I couldn’t really say which was better for sightings, they each have their benefits. Overall, our stay was superb. You’ll never go wrong staying at Little Governors, it was somewhere I’d been looking at for a long time before we eventually decided to book and I’m so glad we did. It was the holiday of a lifetime and one we’re looking forward to repeating in future.

Had a three day stay with safari trips The trips were amazing - the sheer numbers of wildlife and how close you can get up to them is mind boggling The guides knowledge is amazing and they are super friendly. The best bit is they know the way and can find the way back! Ours was Tom who was brill The camp itself was excellent. Tents were home from home with good solar powered showered and proper toilet The food was excellent quality considering you are in the middle of the nowhere ! All The staff were amazing - very friendly and always helpful Early morning safari with breakfast on the jeep is to be recommended. As is afternoon safari with drinks in the sunset The flight in was part of the experience Can’t recommend this enough
