I always stay at Hilton hotels for business and most always for personal travel as well. This was a very disappointing experience. First I check into the room and the thermostat is off and the temperature is 80 degrees in the room (it was a brutally hot and humid day). Then the TV doesn’t work, i called the desk and they sent a person up who got it working but then it kept freezing. It got to the point where there was no live tv at all. I told the person at the front desk, Shirley, and she was very helpful and tried to help and called a maintenance person by the name of Bill who said tv was not important and he would not look at it. Not what I expect of a Hilton property and very disappointed.

Very clean and very up to date. Recently renovated accommodations like new. Breakfast better than average for hotels in this category. Staff friendly and accommodating. Room layout and new bathroom design well thought out, other hotels should take note.

This hotel has become my go-to spot whenever I’m in town, and it’s all because of the incredible staff and the warm, welcoming environment they’ve created. From the moment you walk through the doors, you’re greeted like family—and that’s not an exaggeration. There’s a genuine sense that the team here cares about your comfort and experience. On my most recent trip, I had the pleasure of interacting with Sheryl at the front desk, and she was an absolute gem. Friendly, professional, and incredibly helpful—she truly went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect. That said, I’ve never met a bad employee at this property. Every staff member I’ve encountered has been cheerful, courteous, and genuinely kind. It’s clear that this hotel is well-managed and that the culture here prioritizes hospitality in the best possible way. The recent upgrades to the property are fantastic. Everything feels fresh, modern, and clean, and the improvements really make the place shine. You can tell that they’ve invested in the guest experience—from the lobby to the rooms, every detail has been thoughtfully enhanced. This has to have been one of the best Hampton Inn's I've stayed in. Everyone was extremely friendly, everything smelled clean and the bed was comfortable. Would definitely stay again if we were in the area. Tons of restaurants and shops in the area as well as the Altoona Curve baseball field.

Best hotel in Altoona! Seems very new and exceptionally clean. All the things you expect with a Hampton- large rooms and breakfast- across the street from Champs sports restaurant and Cracker Barrel. Stephanie at front desk was especially helpful in printing out a last minute speech for my wife- great experience!!

The room was newly renovated and very comfortable. Staff were very friendly and accommodating. The building was brightly lit inside and out and we felt safe. While the location was close to restaurants and shopping it still seemed as if we were away from it all.
