The hotel is run by a couple. The male owner is good at cooking and previously ran a Thai restaurant. It is a warm and cozy place.

Wir waren mit Freunden zum Wanderwochenende (das Landhaus liegt direkt am „Traumpfad Eltzer Burgpanorama“) bei Familie Port zu Gast. Saubere Zimmer, aufgeräumte Speisekarte, sehr leckeres Essen zu durchaus zivilen Preisen und ein angenehmer, aufmerksamer und unaufgeregter Service. Wir hatten eine sehr schöne Zeit!

Landhaus vor Burg Eltz is a hotel and restaurant. It is located in Wierschem. The big plus, very dog ​​friendly. The owners have a dog themselves. Our 2 dogs were allowed on the terrace, in the restaurant and breakfast room and of course in the room. Big plus! Location The hotel is located on the edge of Wierschem. If you drive to the hotel via GPS, it may send you on a road that you are not allowed to take. You can also just take a detour, it is 2 km further. The hotel has its own parking spaces. And has a beautiful terrace outside. Environment. In the immediate vicinity, the biggest attraction is of course Burg Eltz. And of course you can take very nice walks there. From the hotel it is a 2 km walk to Burg Eltz. There is not much else to do in the town. Hotel. The rooms The hotel is a bit dated. You still get keys with a big club on them. At check-in you will receive a bottle of water. A lot of marble has been used inside. The rooms differ enormously. We had a reasonable double room. We had someone in a single room and it was clearly furnished a bit older. There is a bed in the room (with very thin/empty pillows). Smart TV (yes you can use Netflix / Viaplay etc with your own account). Furthermore, a table and coat rack. Bathroom with shower, toilet and sink. Extractor turns on with the light and is very loud. Roller shutters on the windows. We had the window open and it was a bit chilly in the morning. Turn on the heating and wow, they heat up very quickly and very well! Apart from the somewhat dated decor, it is neat and ok. However, it is very noisy. Terrace / restaurant Upon arrival we had a drink on the terrace. Nice place to sit, also quite a lot of walkers. Enough choice of soft drinks (not Coca Cola and Fanta, but Africola), juices, beers and coffee and tea. It all seems pretty standard to me. The associated restaurant is also the Barception. The menu is fairly extensive. Lots of meat and game. Wild citizens, ordinary citizens. Fish. But also Vega burgers and vega pasta. We had the veggie burger with fries. Very good and enough! Breakfast Breakfast is a matter of taste and what you are used to. The things you expect are there. Sandwiches, some cold cuts and cheese. Jam and jars of chocolate spread. And of course coffee/tea/milk and some cornflakes/cruslie. You can order fried eggs or scrambled eggs and if you ask you can also get things like a hot chocolate or something else. But on the other hand, it's all a bit meager. Rolls and some slices of bread, but all the same. Coffee is filter coffee or a senseo. and honestly, the filter coffee is quite ok. No toaster and nothing like cheese spread, fish, etc. Just a basic but tasty breakfast. Service The host and hostess are very friendly and do not make a fuss about anything. Do you want to bring dogs into the dining room? Fine. Glass of wine and coffee for the room? fine. Everything seems possible and allowed. Check-in is advance

The hotel is located in a small village, unfortunately there is not much to do in the area. The very beautiful Burg Eltz castle. We chose this hotel because we went to this castle. The hotel is small but nice. Beds are comfortable. Staff are very friendly and speak good English. We also had a bite to eat and a drink here. Unfortunately, the restaurant was only open until 8:30 PM, so after that you either have to go to another village or go to bed. All in all we had a nice stay for our purpose!

We stayed at the country house on the way to Spain so that we could see Eltz Castle in the morning. We received a nice welcome and a friendly, rustic room with plenty of space. The country house is on the outskirts of town, had plenty of parking spaces and a restaurant with an outdoor area that also serves breakfast. However, due to our early departure, we did not choose this option. Otherwise, there were no points of criticism: the room, bed and bathroom were perfect. The balcony from the hallway also has a nice view of the surrounding area. Conclusion: Good value for money considering the location - we would come back anytime.

We were here on a family holiday over the weekend. The rooms have been renovated and have new modern beds and sofas. The bathroom is quite small and cramped due to the age of the building and has no windows. The hotel has a few parking spaces in front of the building, but there are often not enough. You can still park on the street, though. The hotel is well located for visiting the castle. The staff are always very friendly. Breakfast was delicious, there was plenty of variety and the eggs were freshly made.
