Really nice hotel right on the edge of Lake Maggiore, in front of a beach. I selected this hotel because it is part of the Design Hotels from Marriott. Very nice location to do stuff around the area. We took a day trip (rental car) to Zermatt and it was perfect. We even got in the lake (cold water). The hotel has bikes available for the guests and SUP for the lake.

They provide free parking and the hotel is sitting on the lake shore and that's about it on the positive side. Oh, and they give you a nice pen. The hotel is small, no elevator, with such narrow stairways that one person with a suitcase can barely make it upstairs. The room is small, doesn't even have enough space for a desk or a table so using your laptop is extremely inconvenient. We had a view of the railroad though it was of no disturbance at night. A small fancy bathroom has a sliding glass door with weird green camouflage so there's very little privacy. No amenities of any sort: no pool, no spa, no sauna, no nothing. We didn't try their restaurant even though the reviews were good so no idea what their breakfast, lunch or dinner was. If you have a car you have to drive straight the end of the street past the "limited entry" sign, turn left, and then left again on an unpaved path which brings you to the back of the hotel where the parking is located. But you would be better off staying elsewhere.

We were facing a long day of driving from Italy to Switzerland so decided to stop halfway in Locarno overnight. But we wanted a quieter stay than in the center of Locarno without sacrificing the views of the lake, and this hotel delivered on both fronts. Plus it has a very good restaurant which is also popular with locals. Design vibe. Clean and calm. Ten minutes' walk to Minusio train station, from where the next and final station is Locarno main train station itself. From that station it is a five minute walk to the ferry jetty or to the Cimetta funicular. The lakeside drive passes right in front of the hotel so good for jogging or cycling. The hotel was for us a great base to explore the Locarno region.

Das Hotel liegt direkt am See an ruhiger Lage. Die Erreichbarkeit mit öffentlichen Verkehrsmitteln oder Auto ist top. Unweit von Locarno entfernt. Die Umgebung lädt zum Baden im See, radfahren und spazieren ein. Das Hotel ist modern und auf dem neuesten Stand. Die Zimmer sind schön und alles ist sehr sauber. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich und gastfreundlich. Das Giardino Lago Minusio ist eine Empfehlung wert.

A place for tranquillity. Small hotel managed by Marriott, great staff and great food. No pool by staff will arrange for you to use poll in their other larger hotel 10 minutes away. The staff is very attentive to every need. Great place for a small wedding overlooking the lake. Situated on the lake with a long walking and biking path. A place I will come back every year when in Europe.

Wir waren zum zweiten Mal im Giardino di Lago, und waren genauso begeistert wie beim ersten Mal. Die Lage am See ist wunderschön, schon beim Frühstücken hat man einen komplett ungestörten Blick auf den See. Besonders hervorzuheben ist auch der Service, dass man Fahrräder und Standup-Padel Boards nach Verfügbarkeit direkt am Hotel erhält, um die Umgebung und den See noch besser zu genießen.
