Meridian Inn & Suites Lloydminster

DO NOT STAY HERE I strongly advise to NEVER use this hotel. Beside our room not being cleaned when we arrived back at 5pm, garbages not emptied, towels not provided there was an incident with a male employee. After multiple calls and a 45 minute wait, which made us late to our function, a male employee showed up with towels. Instead of handing them to me at the door, he proceeded to enter the closed bathroom door where my 14 year old daughter was getting out of the shower. I yelled at him to stop, someone's in there and he backed up and handed me the towels. I immediately went to the front desk to speak with the manager but was told he was unavailable. The next morning upon checkout, I asked to again speak to the manager and he was still unavailable. I reiterated the incident and was told I would not be charged for my room until I spoke with the manager. After 4 days, my card was charged but I had still not heard from the manager after multiple attempts. After another 9 days, I left a message that if I didn't hear from the manager, I would be filing a formal complaint with the RCMP. I did finally hear back from the manager. He told me it took so long for him to get back to me because he had to talk with all the staff and what they said was different from my experience and that it was just an unfortunate incident. He also said it was out of his hands that the room was charged to my card and one thing had nothing to do with the other. He asked "How would you suggest I fix this? At this point, at the very least, I expected an admission of wrongdoing or apology but neither was forthcoming. He then offered a 20$ gift card which I found incredibly insulting. So that is what your family is worth to this hotel. 20 bucks. I will be filing a formal complaint with the RCMP, but in the mean time want to warn other families from staying here.
