Apartamentos Selvapark

Very basic; one roll of toilet roll no matter how long you stay, expects you to scrub the place before you leave. No hand soap or washing up liquid. Not enough towels for all the occupants. Bathroom window doesn't close, sliding door has a gap so there's always a cold breeze at night. Our bedroom curtain literally fell down and seeing as they took €200 deposit off of us, we ended up fixing it ourselves so that we wouldn't have it taken away from us. Place absolutely stunk of smoke from the room next door which goes through the air con meaning as soon as you put it on it smells. We were moaned at for not speaking Spanish! We had this booked for us as a wowcher holiday so get what you pay for not denying this, but for a group of 4 young women we didn't always feel safe in the staff presence.

Pleasantly surprised after reading some of the reviews. Hotel/room was clean, spare a couple scuff marks on a wall and floor. Bed was good, shower powerful(although hot water ran out fairly quickly). Three sets of clean towels between two of us, which were changed once during the week. The manager gives you a map of the local area and explains where everything you need to know is. He mentions a pizzeria/Italian restaurant a short 100 yard walk away, we don't normally go to these as we think he must be bigging it up as something to do with it, however we spent 3 nights there as it was that good. The negatives. You need to buy your own toilet paper. Or take a spare roll from pubs/restaurants you visit. There is no pool or bar. The balcony area is small with no furniture and has a glass partitioning/wall so not great for fear of heights. You are a 10/15 minute walk from the main ***** area, although this reduces outside noise. All in all, it has everything you need from a self catering appartment and no real negatives. Unsure whether to return here as we were happy with it, or risk a diferrent hotel to have a pool/bar area.
