The room was clean and the staff were friendly – no issues at all on that front. However, the free Wi-Fi was shockingly bad – I couldn’t even send a simple WhatsApp message or load a basic Google page. Strangely, the mobile signal was perfectly fine just outside the hotel but almost nonexistent inside. It felt like signal blocking might be in place to push guests towards buying the "premium" Wi-Fi – if that’s the case, it’s very disappointing and outdated! The room had AC, but it would also have been useful to have a fridge and an iron in the room.

We've stayed in many Premier Inns over the years and this is one of the better ones. It was clean and comfortable, and the staff were delightful, especially Denise who went above and beyond to help us with our stay. The Brewers Fayre staff were also very helpful and friendly.

We stayed here three nights when every day meeting my wife's friend on 12 minutes walk off this hotel. Not that fancy, but extremely practical. Nice basic room on very nice budget price. So clean. Good parking, with many services nearby. We were every day 12-14 hours off the room. If you have bright idea for daily programme - this good excellent place for reasonable priced nights!

Seems very new, all spotless and everything needed as usual. Wish could always ask for a top floor room as always get a heavy footed person above but this wasn’t too bad. Friendly and helpful on reception as always will stay again for sure. Easy to find also. Great location.

This is a typical Premier Inn - better than the worst I've stayed in, not as good as the best. I definitely can't fault the location - nearby the main road for excellent access to the Brecon Beacons and the nearby town of Abergavenny and, in that regard our stay served us well. However, having stayed at many Premier Inns over the years it is impossible to ignore the gradual decline of service and standards. In the case of this hotel there was a lack of cups in the room, scant immediate supplies of coffees/teas and only a couple of towels for a room booked for three people. Of course, like the now defunct automatic cleaning of the room, these things can be rectified by contacting the reception but clearly this is a hassle that never used to be needed and is just another profit making device for the owners. Coupled with the scattering of mold in the bathroom, the car park which required registration to avoid a healthy fine for daring to park at what is effectively a motel and the piles of rubbish strewn around the environment one can't fail to see the profit over service mentality which sadly pervades the modern world.

What an appalling Hotel. Absolutely in the middle of know where. WIFI is pretty much non existent. The Ultimate WIFI @ £5 pound still doesnt work. Keeps disconnecting I was in room 6 and still couldnt hit the router a few metres away/ The password at reception for the BT router was incorrect. They cant get anything correct. I would not stop here again

First class as usual Well done to the staff on site and looking forward to our next visit 👏🏻 Location perfect for our annual six nations weekend and a bonus that a local company offered a coach pick up from the location which the very friendly receptionist told us about

Disappointing. I currently have hip tendinopathy which makes it difficult to walk upstairs. The lift was broken. The room was very hot during the night. My husband and I woke up at about 3 in the morning for the first 2 nights because of it. The air conditioning only allowed a slight reduction. The windows do not open (by design). We mentioned the heat to reception on the morning of the 3rd and final night and were told they can control it from there. It was slightly cooler that evening, but not by much. All 3 nights we could hear someone walking about in the room above us, and whenever someone was in the corridor. The bed is very high and as a person of 5'6""/167 cm I had to climb up onto it. To shower I had to climb in over the bath and as a person of 65 and currently with hip tendinopathy this was very uncomfortable and potentially dangerous. Walk in showers are needed. I wouldn't be in a hurry to stay here again.

I travelled to Abergavenny on business and was quite exhausted. The receptionist at premier Inn Abergavenny, Helen Jenkins was so lovely, welcoming and offered great customer service, very professional. Great central location and I would certainly recommend staying here
