Travelodge Llanelli Central

We booked a disabled room which wasn't as big as it is depicted in the photos. There wasn't much room to manouvre a wheelchair and luggage. If you use a stand hoist eg Sara 3000 be aware, the bathroom is rather smal eg handbasin is to close to the toilet - take care when raising the hoist because you are likely to take the glass shelf with it and keep your elbows tucked in For those who can manage to stand on their own the room is fine. The bed is really comfortable norisk to pressure areas I hope this is useful full on wheelchair friends.

The staff at this hotel go above and beyond what you would expect for an hotel, so helpful, nothing is too much trouble to make your stay a great one, special mention for Michelle who made my stay memorable.

A typical Travelodge hotel in town centre. Next to bus station but it's a mile's walk from the railway station with no bus link. There's no restaurant, only pre-packed breakfast boxes. Nowhere to get a cooked breakfast before 9 am in the town centre. The Hungry Horse next door does a good one but not recommended in the evening if you're a real ale lover. The hotel itself was clean and friendly. I had to carry a heavy extension lead with me to use my CPAP as I was told there wasn't an electrical socket next to the bed. In fact, the socket was near enough so the extension wasn't needed. No air con but a fan was provided.

I read previous reviews and was apprehensive about staying at this hotel, but I was impressed by the room. It was spotlessly clean, the staff were very helpful, kind and polite. I don't know what room the other guest was staying in but I can assure you that there wasn't any cobwebs and everything was immaculate. Thank you all I will be staying here again.

We stayed at this Travelodge overnight on Friday 4th July as we were attending a funeral. It was the hottest day of the year and by the time we arrived we were hot and shattered from our journey. On arrival the staff from reception to the cleaners couldn’t have been more helpful and understanding. Their customer service was above and beyond anything we’d experienced before back in England. They made us very welcome and understood we didn’t have long to get changed in preparation for the funeral, especially as we’d been delayed by all the traffic going to see Oasis at Cardiff. Even on leaving the following day they assisted us and we couldn’t have been happier. When we got home I realised I’d left something important behind and called reception. Bella went through lost property and said see had found it and would speak to the Manager to contact me, which he did. The item was posted out to me at their cost for next day delivery. A big thank you to Bella and her team and the Manager who posted it for a fantastic job and excellent customer service. Please book this Travelodge, as you won’t be disappointed.

This stay wouldn't have been the same without Carys! She was friendly checking us in and even suggested local places to eat etc we also asked about the theatre which is right next door, and she told us 9 to 5 would be performed there 31st-2nd August. So we've booked to come stay again for a night, so handy being right next door. Can't wait to see the show and for Carys hospitality again!
